To korea it never goes above 2mb, but taiwan:

download speed lower becasue there are some active downloads.
So not sure if its actually cable problem like they say. Maybe this is the standard excuse TM always gives? Since the customer can't say a thing! Cable cut, thats it. End of story rolleyes.gif

No need to shoot. I teach you.
Go google D-link Share Port. Download the software. Install it. And you're good to go. Do check that sometimes your firewall/anti virus will prevent you from detecting the device connected to the USB port. Btw, all these are mentioned in the manual given in the box. I think you never care to check the box. If I'm the one you called, I shoot you back  biggrin.gif  So sad I'm not a TM helpline agent though
*
I did all that already, including installing D-Link SharePort Utility. I also read through every single page in the manual and the box as well in the case i missed something (spent 2 whole nights until 4-5am trying to get it to work).

Firewall all semua off. I tried puting in thumb drive, printer, External HDD, the shareport utility couldn't detect. Even followed step by step instruction in the dlink website tutorial for shareport as well.

The only thing I did not touch was the 615's firmware. IT should be having the latest version of 7.09 now right? I did not update the firmware of the router with the latest version in dlink website...

DHCP is the one that give ur pc the IP

so u hv many PC/laptop/idevice in ur network, each need its own ip.....

but TM can give u one IP only... so u buy router... the router takes IP from TM, then give all ur device a private IP....

so now all ur device can connect bcoz router manage them all and using only one IP from TM laugh.gif  .... and only one IP is needed from TM bcoz ur router give them all private "internal" IP

This function (giving private IP) is done automatically by DHCP

so everything is good like this if u hv one router in ur network..

if u hv two, both give private IP... BUT only one of them hv the TM IP... so the other one when give private IP no internet.....

This is why I tell u DISABLE DHCP on second router, then it will be like access point onli....
bcoz it doesn't give private IP... ur main router give IPs, this one only make a link and allow u to use wireless...

in short, u only need one DHCP in ur network (one router), if hv other router connected must keep its DHCP disabled (turn DHCP off)...

hope u got it bro  rclxms.gif

oh ok i get it. thanks man.
will try connecting my 2nd router to the main router tomorrow. the new router that tm gives along with its unifi is really horrible. signal like $hit.

It isn't a firmware. Just a software. I also forgot where I downloaded it because official DIR-615 doesn't have usb port. Lol...

Same, 1.17.
I even LAN my TP-link 841ND and DIR-615, laptop connected to TP-link WiFi but still able to use my printer connected to DIR615. Don't know what's your problem there. I tried printer and Thumbdrive, no prob.
