Email tech support and ask them. Maybe something wrong with your TV.

A little off topic, but for those who are familiar with homeplug, please advice.

So basically i'll be installing unifi, that comes with 4 devices : phone, modem, BTU (main device) and iptv.

So I have my computer in the living hall and lcd tv in the bedroom.

Planning to put the phone, modem and BTU in the living hall together with my computer

IPTV in my room together with LCD tv.

So i'll be using a homeplug for the connection between my IPTV and BTU.

My question is would I be able to connect another pair of homeplug to connect my PC (outside my living hall) to my LCD TV (inside the bedroom) for me to stream movies online, instead of having it both connected using HDMI cable?

Homeplug is for LAN cable. Unifi Router -> HomePlug -> IPTV (No probs)

PC via homeplug to your LCD TV? Your TV got LAN connectivity? Or are you using a media player at your TV?

Anyone of you experiencing broken wifi connection on and off from i Devices? Been using the TP Link router as the replacement from D Link coz the coverage is not enough for my house, but by using the TL-841ND, somehow the connection between my iPad/iPhone sometimes will just went off, and require me to select the SSID again from the wifi setup. Anyone could help?

Previously, I flashed the firmware using KLSeet's method, but since that firmware have some trouble where my SSID just vanished sometimes, I flashed to the newest firmware from TP Link that have Unifi mode. The problem don't occur anymore but just that my iPad/iPhone sometimes will disconnect from the router and need to reconnect again.

if ur flashing dd-wrt got prob, just use the dir-615, but make a wifi AP using another router lor.
im using my old Netgear router as AP specially for my usage only(laptop+android phone)..very strong wifi signal biggrin.gif
my family use the wifi from dir-615..very slow and short-range wifi this 1 ==

But i already feel the slowness since nov last year .
Is it just me or unifi getting slow now.?? Last time youtube no need to buffer now like stimix only..and if forward to much it will either stuck or the earlier scene of the video need to buffer again. -.-

Also ,page before this about the password unifi.. Unifi password can't changed??. The password behind modem??

Lastly my unifi is downstairs. But if i went upstairs there will be no connection at all or slow . Is it the modem that tm give?? Whats recommended??

Depending on the contractor I guess, but if conceal over the ceiling, I think the starting price is RM315 for 1st 15M. Then from there, additional price for each metre of cabling...

Ok. I'm thinking of just using my dlink as a VLan bridge, while the routing and dhcp server is on the Streamyx dlink router....thinking if its possible. I feel that the current DLink 615 is pretty overloaded.

I plan to get the Asus 56U if the dlink 615 is really that bad as they say it is.
*
better to do so... coz is the TM DIR-615 is very poor quality unless u flash with DD-WRT firmware for more stability (of course no IPTV Support. Before i change to Asus router the DIR-615 is always disconnect from internet and wifi always disconnect and weak signal. after i change already have improvement on the signal for whole house. Even outside the house for 10-20 meters also get the wifi signal from asus Router. Asus is a great brand that i can recommand. since i use 2 unit router and my customer use asus networking product without any complaint so far with around 10 unit Asus RT-N13U B1 Sold.

as my setup at my GF house is BTU - Asus RT-N13U B1 Router - Prolink WNR 1008 Gigabit Router (AP Mode to PC, Handphone & Tablet) / TM DIR-615 (AP Mode to Smart TV, Game Console, HTPC & NDS). coz the PC and Smart TV is at Different Place so i decide to use 2 AP for less cable.

as my House Setup is BTU - Asus RT-N16 Gigabit Router (Computer Room 1st Floor) - Belkin F7D2301AK (AP Mode to Smart TV and my Mom's PC at Living Hall. 2 Cat5e cable from computer room to living hall for Unifi IPTV and the Belkin AP.

so u can try to get 1 and u will supprise with the performance. especially with RT-N16.

I'm planning to get a N56U soon haha...

about hp dropping signal, try changing the frequency band in ur wireless router to 20MHz. Our hp don't support 40 MHz.
