A little off topic, but for those who are familiar with homeplug, please advice.
So basically i'll be installing unifi, that comes with 4 devices : phone, modem, BTU (main device) and iptv.
So I have my computer in the living hall and lcd tv in the bedroom.
Planning to put the phone, modem and BTU in the living hall together with my computer
IPTV in my room together with LCD tv.
So i'll be using a homeplug for the connection between my IPTV and BTU.
My question is would I be able to connect another pair of homeplug to connect my PC (outside my living hall) to my LCD TV (inside the bedroom) for me to stream movies online, instead of having it both connected using HDMI cable?

QUOTE(soonwai @ Jan 12 2012, 02:47 AM) Homeplug is for LAN cable. Unifi Router -> HomePlug -> IPTV (No probs) PC via homeplug to your LCD TV? Your TV got LAN connectivity? Or are you using a media player at your TV? media player on my tv, is it possible to connect from computer to media player on tv via homeplug?

QUOTE(Max @ Jan 12 2012, 01:24 PM) i think its possible. homeplug is just like 'network cable', minus the cable.. heheh acutally we cant, just clarified with homeplug sales man, u need to have a NAS and media player, cant use homeplug to connect tv directly to computer (only HDMI can)

Hey guys, unifi contractor just came today, they did a pretty amazing job, setting it up all the devices including my homeplug in just about an hour! Pretty happy with their service.
I realise the speed is not stable as for today, it fluctuates ALOT.
I do realise that the FUP (fair usage policy) is not implemented yet. However, is there a way to check total download and upload? Just curious
Also, may I know what is your average download speed for torrent on 5MB package?
Thanks!
