 HTC Sensation with Sense 3.0 Official Thread V3, now with XE and Beats audio

7. Reboot your phone normally, if you're using Leedroid 6.0.0 you will get "unfortunately sound set has stopped" twice upon successful reboot and probably a sense reboot, don't worry just click through it then let your phone settle. Do not restore apps via Titanium Backup of your GB Rom apps. If market auto-install doesnt kick in, install manually.
8. Refer to  this post to resolve your "unfortunately sound set has stopped" error and sense restart problem upon phone reboot.
9. Recommended but not necessary final step : Reboot back into recovery, clear cache and dalvik cache, fix permissions and reboot.
10. You should be enjoying your ROM by now.
Yes, you can upgrade to 2.3.5 and even to 4.0.3

However, before you even think of doing anything, I suggest you do some reading first. Best place to start would be the first post of this topic. If you want more information right at it's source, go here.

the step above is flash ics rom then bootloader then flash firmware

while leedroid's flash firmware then flash ics rom

so which one?

i tried leedroid method before then i got the bootloop, so i tried to flash ics first then reboot to bootloader and flash firmware, just my experience smile.gif

Oh, like that... when bootloop, u just press both volume & power button?

EDIT-Im now on LeeDroid ICS rom, really can feel the goodness in it biggrin.gif tongue.gif rclxms.gif

What is the differences between Sensation and Sensation XE in terms of software? Can ROM/update made for Sensation be use by Sensation XE?

If you S-Off & rooted your Sensation then you can install XE ROMs on the regular Sensation smile.gif

sensation you'll get 1.2ghz clock speed while xe you'll get 1.5ghz clock speed, and also beats audio.

normally sensation user will opt for rom / tweak for sensation xe instead of the other way round. (based on user's preference)

So most of the roms/tweaks are made for Sensation XE? and regular Sensation also can use it?

Yeap, most of the ROMs in XDA forums are made for both Non XE and XE just that the CPU speed will be different smile.gif

Been thinking to get this from digi since s2 out of stock. Just want to ask honest view from experienced user..what is the advantages of Sensation and drawbacks over S2?

2 ) some video files wont play properly while on samsung note - no problem at all

sensation - battery hungry compare to s2g (s2 i dono)
sensation - my experience is smoother then s2g (s2 i dono)
sensation - heavier then s2 / s2g
sensation - no 1 will look at you when you take out the unit, but white s2 ppl will ( you can ignore this )


i am currently an sensation owner and my colleague currently a s2g owner.

Sensation strength its looks n build, ui htc sense. Battery life slight better
Other than these i feel sgs Ii has an edge over it in other areas
It is definitely obciously more laggy than sgsII.
I have used both but sold off sensation in a month as compared to sgsII perdormance.i feel its performance even worse than incredible S
Anyway just my opinion

speaking of players, my HTC sensation XE default music player is able to use the "Beats Audio" thingy, but I am trying the MX player currently, is there anyway to activate the "beats audio" enhancement while using this player?

Since HTC's default player doesn't have cross-fading option sad.gif
