Hi Bro,

I recommend that use an app to extract out the contact details to a CSV format. From there go to you google mail Contact and import it. Once done, set your sensation under Account & Sync and sync contact smile.gif

This is the best way that I know off.

Have you turned off "Enable Always On Mobile Data"?, that options kills my battery in no time and I do not see any adverse effects from turning it off. If you did turn it off than I'm surprised, because the battery has been way better since I upgraded to ICS 4.0.3, my standby drain is almost negligible, and I always reboot my phone to make sure the voltages are reported properly.
upon full charge earlier, calibrated the battery and now battery drains seems like normal again.

btw, i'm running on always on mobile date option since day 1, dont think that is the culprit of sudden increase of battery usage. good tips to monitor too, thanks mate

you only have to spend time downloading the rom, the firmware. updating firmware takes less than 5 mins, flashing rom takes you less than 10 mins then you are part of us the happy gang running with ICS. tongue.gif

dont stuff us with lots of excuses.. no time.. busy.. but spend time reading here... (no offense, saje pulling legs) whistling.gif

Ok, so mine is HTC sense 3.0 and android version 2.3.0 if I am correct this means I am running on ginger bread? The 1 that tells this is by the "HTC sense" or " android version" ?

And if I want to upgrade it to ICS I need to first do the ADB stuff, correct?

android version 2.3.0 is gingerbread.

if you want to upgrade to ICS, first you need to upgrade firmware to 3.24/25 in order to boot the ICS rom.

in order for your to update firmware, you need to superCID or follow the guide to update without superCID (find the source / guide at xda)

fyi, make sure you're fully understand with what you're about to do, we never want anyone bricking the lovely sensation.

another tip for your consideration: once you've upgraded the firmware, it can only boot 3.24/25 based ICS custom roms, you'll need to downgrade your firmware if you want to run with gingerbread roms.

as long as you read thru the sticky guides at xda, you're fine. make sure you understand otherwise please ask. there is plenty of customisation for gingerbread also. enjoy your reading there you'll be amazed.

Before you start, place ICS ROM, fullwipe, 3.24 firmware on SD card.

1. Backup your GB Rom with CWM or EXT4 Recovery.
2. SuperCID (for flashing firmware AND S-ON for warranty purposes in the future if required)
3. Run Fullwipe.
4. Install Leedroid V6.0.0 ICS 4.0.3 Sense 3.6
5. Reboot into bootloader.
6. Flash 3.24 Firmware from here., let it run and do it's thing, don't panic it will reboot your phone for the update process and when it's done it will let you know. DO NOT PULL BATTERY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
7. Reboot your phone normally, if you're using Leedroid 6.0.0 you will get "unfortunately sound set has stopped" twice upon successful reboot and probably a sense reboot, don't worry just click through it then let your phone settle. Do not restore apps via Titanium Backup of your GB Rom apps. If market auto-install doesnt kick in, install manually.
8. Refer to this post to resolve your "unfortunately sound set has stopped" error and sense restart problem upon phone reboot.
9. Recommended but not necessary final step : Reboot back into recovery, clear cache and dalvik cache, fix permissions and reboot.
10. You should be enjoying your ROM by now.

Yes, you can upgrade to 2.3.5 and even to 4.0.3

However, before you even think of doing anything, I suggest you do some reading first. Best place to start would be the first post of this topic. If you want more information right at it's source, go here.

3. Flash the below mentioned firmware package
4. Boot back to recovery
