Gratz on V3. Just sharing. I only knew it a couple days ago that you can scroll with 2 fingers to quick scroll in any list. smile.gif
Try it. It works in Music, Gallery, Contacts, Menu (List View). biggrin.gif

Guys, what is Stock ROM ? Mine 2.3.4.. How to check whether this is stock rom ?
\
*
Stock ROM means the original HTC ROM. Yes, you're on stock ROM if you didn't install any custom Rom. smile.gif

Since ics don't use buttons anymore, I wonder if our sensations buttons at the bottom will still work if installed ics.

But then again, htc rolls out update so slow. Better not put too much hope up. Lol.

If have virtual keys doesn't matter even if it doesn't work right. laugh.gif
Hoping HTC will give us ICS officially. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(11768 @ Oct 23 2011, 01:23 AM)
Guys, do Malaysia's set have the wifi death grip problem as review by GSMarena?
*
I'm not sure if having a replacement casing will fix that problem but for mine, if I cover the top part of the phone. The earphone area, the wifi signal does drop significantly, and even disconnect at times.

May be a casing flaw, as some people got their casing change and no longer face the network down issue. (I don't have time to claim warranty till now) doh.gif

hmm how do we tell them to change the casing ?

I notice for my WIFI, my nokia can scan over 15 wifi available, but my Sensation can scan only 3 available without my hand blocking the antenna cry.gif
*
Complain about the drop in wifi signal and say got network drop as well. Complain as many things as you can.
Mine is even worse. The casing got physical defects. doh.gif

QUOTE(11768 @ Oct 23 2011, 02:33 PM)
You know anyone who after claiming warranty then the problem gone? What did they change?

The replacement casing is by HTC or aftermarket?
*
Forummer here claimed warranty and they said the network death grip is gone.
HTC changed the casing. It's by HTC. smile.gif

I brought XE bcos beats headphone
*
Beats is strong on Bass that's good if you like strong bass. But on most normal usage many other similarly priced headphones beat it anytime. Though you will not get the Android controller.

ok guys... please help me.

Can i connect a thumbdrive to my htc sensation?

I mean plug a thumbdrive via a cable via microUSB to the phone so the phone can straight away read the contents.
*
Cannot. Gingerbread does not have support for USB Host on default. I have tested on Sensation and Galaxy S II. Sensation didn't detect anything. Samsung S II can though due to a modification done by Samsung. Starting from Honeycomb, there should be USB Host support.

But but we're not getting Ice Cream Sandwich yet. doh.gif

Dude, if you still dependent on stock rom, you will not or will wait for a long time for ICS update. That's why we are on custom ROM.
*
We need ICS to have USB host support, no?

Can any1 tell us how this death grip work in our sensation.. I m still exploring this set last few days ..
*
Try covering the earpiece area. Your wifi connection should suffer a great drop in signal strength or even cut off.
The network is a random issue. Not exactly sure which part is the sensitive part.

I have both and I must say the sgsII is much superior in many aspects. Also the advertising blitz in local newspaper make awareness of the SGS II better. One hardly see HTC sensation advert
*
My dad has the Galaxy S II and I have the Sensation. I would say I prefer the HTC Sense over TouchWiz. But I like certain feature on Galaxy S II such as the USB-OTG support. And the camera is better on the Galaxy S II and S II have larger internal memory. HTC build quality is far superior compared to Galaxy S II though. Sensation looks like some classy style handphone. biggrin.gif

Pros and cons. Weigh it by your own preference I would say. Everyone just buy Galaxy S II cause advertisement is crazy for Galaxy S II but no advertisement for Sensation. I only saw advert for Sensation XE recently.

Guys, can i get some advices here.. i've signed up my HTC Sensation 2 months ago and now my Micro SD card is dead.. i can't access the card or even format it with PC softwares.. i just called Maxis and they said the card is not covered in the warranty as it's a "gift" by Maxis for signing up.. is this true? There's no warranty for the Micro SD card we got from Maxis package? Not even from Sandisk themselves? sad.gif
*
Is your SD card the 8gb Sandisk MicroSD? If it is, iy should be under warranty. Check your warranty terms.

just go straight to SIS ler, or htc service centre. maxis unit is ori set right?

and to register warranty is easy. google "htc register warranty" and its the 1st link. or here.

https://www.sis.com.my/siswarranty/
*
Guys, he said his is Brightstar set not SIS set so warranty claim should be through Maxis or directly through Brightstar. smile.gif

plus can any1 tell me
do this phones have any problem so far??

TQ biggrin.gif

I'm lovin it. biggrin.gif
Sensation owner here but still if you're not a fan of fancy UI which is what HTC Sense offer, you may as well consider going for Galaxy S II. smile.gif Personally though I'm a user of Sensation (I wanted Galaxy S II but dad's using S II and he doesn't want me to use the same phone as him sweat.gif ), I prefer the Galaxy S II. Overall, the Samsung Galaxy S II feels snappier and smoother. But screen resolution on Sensation is awesome. When you surf the web or use apps like Teamviewer, you can see how useful are those extra pixels. smile.gif
Between Sensation and Sensation XE, if you have the money, why not go for it, right? But only if you're fine with Beats super heavy bass earphones. doh.gif

You don't have to look for 540x960 wallpaper. Get those normal computer wallpaper and when you set as wallpaper from your phone, just crop it out. smile.gif
