htc sensation xe flash mob at pavillion really nice..compared to air asia....thumb up..

Hi guys, just trying my luck here, anyone experienced a serious battery depletion overnight? I charged my Sensation to max before i sleep and when i woke up, it's out of battery. When i checked the Battery Indicator, the battery depletes on "Phone Signal"? Anyone has any idea what problem is this and any solutions?

Not really la, if you compare SGS2-G version, then SGS2-G version more laggy.

But if compare SGS2-non G version, then SGS2-non G version more snappy.

and it is not comparing Apple with Apple bcos Sensation runs on higher resolution than SGS2, I believe if SGS2's resolution = Sensation resolution, SGS2 will be more laggy.

And please be reminded that Andreno 220 is better than Mali-400 based on the statistics.

But SGS2-non G version have battery and heating problems.

And I dont understand why you say Sensation more laggy than Incredible S given the hardware and RAM is better than Incredible S.

That is my opinion n assessment. You dont need to agree n have every right to disagree. I have used many androids n i wish to say i know what i am talking about. The sgs II is the non g model

I blame all 3 on lack of software optimization on HTC's part. It's obvious performance of stock unrooted vs rooted with custom ROM has a great difference. For me I don't really mind, it performs the things I want with no lags etc so I'm happy with it currently. Additionally, I'm looking forward to more customizations that will fully optimize the hardware of this phone.

If you're comparing stock unrooted version of oth phones, SGSII definitely wins out. Like I said above, it's more software related than hardware.

Assuming you are on stock ROM:

1. Turn off "enable mobile data always on". It's under mobile network settings.
2. Turn off "Phone Finder". It's under Locations setting. If you're paranoid about your phone getting stolen then leave it on, if you don't care, turn it off, that thing will kill your battery.
3. Make sure the accounts you Sync under "Accounts & Sync" is customized properly. For myself, I only snyc contacts for FB, twitter, the rest will only update when i view or open the application, update frequency set to once a day.
4. If you sleep, turn off mobile network, wifi, better yet, airplane mode, but if you want to receive calls and smses then no need airplane mode...these two are power hungry features.
5. Unintsall applications that run a lot in the background...some applications prevent your phone from sleeping while screen is off, and uses the cpu when screen off. Rule of thumb, not too many apps, avoid task killers, no need antivirus, and just deleta all that useless junk app that you downloaded from the market without thinking. NORMALLY FOR ABNORMAL BATTERY DRAIN THIS IS THE MAIN CAUSE)

guys which custom is better?
Leedroid or ARHD? (For ics)

Current feedback is

1. LeeDroid looks stable with some files that requires deletion.. (look at couple of page back)

2. AHRD (I am using this) seems quite stable but Sense crashes from time to time...

I am not sure if LeeDroid has the same Sense error... I think this is a Sense 3.6 problem rather then the roms.

how about ExtremeSensation , ELEGANCIA or insertcoin?

this is very subjective. each developers will have their strengths and weaknesses. read from their thread and you'll decide which one suits you better. better still, try out both and your experiences will never lies to you. user preferences might be bias at times.

i have not paid much attention reading at ExtremeSensation and elegancia, so cant comment much. From my limited knowledge on Elegancia, they're more on eye candies and also performance tweaks. Unlike ARHD / Insertcoin / Leedroid is keeping their custom rom as stock as possible but adding performance tweaks. Insertcoin is developed by one of reputational developers. his works is great and awesome, he is dedicated to his works where update / patch is pretty fast. One of the worth trying rom from my past experience.

LoL, if changing ROMs, Rooting, or Performance Tweaks is as easy as changing themes or wallpapers as in Windows, then it will be damn gooding...

Hey, im using a htc sensation XE white. And i found out that my phone bottom left and right, when i press the phone, there is like sound in between the back casing and the phone, as if the the phone doesnt fit very well with the back casing like there is some hollow space. Is this a common problem? ,i did open up the back cover to check any clips are break, but everything looks fine to me. hmmm

yes this make sense.....

this is known issue. squeking back cover. try not to press is so hard to worsen the case. members reported went to claim a new cover from htc under warranty.

you can try to register online at sis website. if the set is being registered, then you dont have to do anything. if not,then it will prompt you to enter date of purchase and also email them a scan copy of receipt as purchase of proof. hope that the seller passed you the receipt. otherwise, give a buss to sis customer service to check for the professional advise on your case.

It is actually, but of course it wont be that fast...it's just a matter of nandroid backup, then flash new ROM, then back it up and repeat process. In fact, you can run different ROMS simultaneously. However full-wiping and restoring backup with first time bootup, switching between ROMs will take about 20 minutes.
