That is the CVV number for all AMEX cards.Last three digits code is invalid. whats going on? #### in front is what number/? This is just a regular AMEX credit card, not a charge card. You must pay the minimum stated in your statement, more than the minimum stated or in full before the due date every month. This post has been edited by MilesAndMore: Nov 8 2011, 04:49 PM |

QUOTE(erry- @ Nov 8 2011, 04:53 PM) we shouldnt encouraged people to have debt. hehe In which part did i encourage him to accumulate debt ? I was merely answering his question which i said very clearly that he can either pay the minimum amount, more than the minimum amount or in full. He was looking for an answer you did not give him the correct answer. |

Amex can pay the mininum 5% or rm50 which ever is higher and the AE is a full payment charge card? why do ppl still wan the AE where u can just pay the minimum 5% on the Amex? |

QUOTE(digilife @ Nov 8 2011, 06:12 PM) so this Amex is different from the American Express card? Both are American Express Cards. Just that one is a credit card and another one is a charge card.QUOTE(digilife @ Nov 8 2011, 06:12 PM) Amex can pay the mininum 5% or rm50 which ever is higher and the AE is a full payment charge card? why do ppl still wan the AE where u can just pay the minimum 5% on the Amex? It's a matter of personal preferences. And even though we can pay just the 5% minimum for the AMEX credit card, the majority of us settle in full before the due date every month to avoid any financial charges from the bank. Use your card wisely. |

If you ask the seniors in here then the answer would be to practice paying in full. One can swipe RM50-100K (or more or even RM450K which is the Citibank Plat max limit) and the bank can charge 38% or even 200% interest but don't need to care if pay in full every month. (No need to So to the seniors here, they don't care whatever percentage the bank ask to pay from the due every month coz I'm almost sure they pay in full. (Congrats and thanks! Paying your credit card partially on a monthly basis potentially and/or overeagerness to EPPs opens up the problem of uncontrollable personal debt which we have many encounters in here. Many rants as to why the bank is sucking their blood dry whereas the actual problem is the consumer itself who choose to build debts the wrong way. Some readers get angry when we advised them on their spending / debt patterns. This post has been edited by hye: Nov 8 2011, 06:45 PM |

Use your card wisely. i usually would settle my cards on 100% usage so as not to let the banks charge me exhorbitant interest of 13~18% per annum. however if they call up and offer me interest free Cash Advance, i would entertain them cause i will use those Cash Advance to be converted into short term Time Deposit to earn extra cash |

QUOTE(monara @ Nov 9 2011, 12:31 AM) guys, would like to ask, whats the comparison (in terms of usage, pros/cons, etc) between visa card and mastercard? By default it should come with MasterCard and only upon request, they will give you VISA.i am asking as because this mB 2 cards we can choose to have amex and either of those two, right. Still, they will make mistake like my case. Both VISA and MasterCard are the same but I can see MasterCard has more promotions than VISA. This post has been edited by fruitie: Nov 9 2011, 12:35 AM |

MasterCard Pros : - potential sponsors of Malaysia Megasale, Worldcup, Euro Cup thus get freebies when using your MasterCard during the sponsored period |
