TQ all. smile.gif
yeah as ronnie said, only use mastercard when amex is not accepted.
from the catch, can i say that amex still not really used widely, compared to the other 2? (they give rebate, 5x points...)

want to ask something here.
is there any big difference if apply at the different bank branch?
i mean in terms of 'aftersale' service, follow up, etc..
can other branch also answer and check anything regarding my credit card account, apart from the branch which registered the CC.

let me get it straighforward.
i have a fren work with bank. but i planning to apply at the 1-hour place, since want to get it soonest possible. will my fren be able to check my account later ( i prefer to ask him anything regarding my cc account later, some sort like consultant eh) even i didnt apply it at his branch?
about CS, i once called them . its like they know little, compared to the processing people/ those who works in bank.

This is conjecture on my part but I believe only Credit Card call centre + Maybankard centre staff can access detailed stuff about credit cards. Branch level can view maybe what cards you have etc. Your friend will also not get commission.
*
thx for the reply.
about the maybank centre, did u mean the Menara Maybank, or that particular centre the place where we register the CC.
Let say i want to go to bank (not phone-ing) to ask something/get clarification regarding my CC account, do i need to go to the place where i register only, or any bank can? icon_question.gif

Went to one utama mbb there, the person that wear black coat serve me. Very impolite when I show him my salary slip, basic RM 2,400 also say alots of thing. I said i got RM 700 fixed allowances n somemore with letter from the company. I asked for his name. He don't want to tell me. Can I complain ? My net pay is more than RM 4,500 also he say so much.
*
u didnt see his name tag?
from what i know, those bankers who registered us (CC applicants) will get commission... do those who work at the center entitled that too?
if not, maybe u can try to apply at small branches (where the officer are entitled for this commission), as they will try their hard to make ur application successful (win-win situation for both).. unlike those who didnt get it.

The bank autodebit your account every month.
The cardholder autopay the bill every month.
See the difference ?  blush.gif

You may subscribe autopay with bank or with telco. However I would prefer to deal with bank. Just one call, can cancel all autopay, no need to call every telco/utilities one by one.
*
owh.. so the telco autoreceive the money la biggrin.gif ..
apart from what u stated, what else other differences/ comparisons between subscribing with bank (maybank), or telco (celcom)? hmm.gif
-both also receive that discount 5%?
-which 1 can register/approve faster?
- is it automatic caj every month at the same date? can we choose, so the transaction date is on weekend? (haha, though might be varies for different month) tongue.gif
-can register at blue cube (which open on sunday)?

Hi, I understand that to apply Maybankard 2 Gold u need at least RM30k annual income which means RM2.5k permth.

This Rm2.5k can include the fixed allowance??

For e.g., my income as stated in payslip is RM2k. Then another invoice stated that I received RM500 allowance for petrol.

Does this fulfill the requirement of the min income to apply Maybankard 2 Gold??
*
try check few pages back, there is a guy who earn basic ~2.3k, but including other allowance can reach almost 4k.
maybank not interested to entertain him though..

how do they calculate/determine our weekend rebate, for purchasing by installment (usually the electrical item)?
is it by the first-time pay (during buying the item), or date of installment charged every month (whenever it falls on sat/sun)?

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Dec 12 2011, 10:23 PM)
I have no idea. I was told it's a new policy. Anyway, Maybankard fraud investigation department called me immediately after i used my card at a local Kenny Rogers outlet last Saturday. Not sure why though.
*
is it for verification? the purchase is only less than (or around) rm100 right... hmm.gif

In the first place, all banks T&C require cardholders to keep their card details a secret and known only to themselves.
If someone else knows your card number then there's something wrong already coz it's a matter of time before an abuse happens.
*
what about those people who works in the merchants/ during the payment process? hmm.gif
what if they "memorize/copy" by certain way, the card number during the transaction..
also, there is shop where the receipt state full numbers (eg, not XXX-XXX-123 type one).. sweat.gif

QUOTE(hiansitt @ Jan 2 2012, 07:25 PM)
i know i know. but i just wan to know the interest count, well, so far i settle my outstanding every single time (although still new) smile.gif
as i understand:
5% from total outstanding + interest (if no carry forward = no interest) + installment = minimum payment
if after due, the total outstanding will be charges interest (right?) + all transaction thereafter will be charged interest as well

but i just want to know whether the outstanding get charges?
reason i want to know:
worry, *touchwood* if one day,as the emergency fund that i build up might not enough to cover, hence some of the expenses that need to carry forward for next month statement

*
cant that situation use balance transfer? while personally, i think better to reduce other expenses/ savings or delay other installment, just to pay all outstanding CC amount (due to te high interest rate)

*2011*. I noticed that too. Overspent last year, need to cut down on expenses this year as we are heading towards another recession  sweat.gif

By the way, my MBB2 cards were charged with the credit card tax with the transaction date recorded as 15 Jan 2012. I suppose that it means my MBB2 was approved on 15 Jan 2011. Time sure flies... it's been a year since i started using this superb credit card product from Maybank  rclxms.gif

what is that tax about? is it gst, or something else?

guys, need to get (basic) clarification regarding BT.
if i wanna do BT from this card to other bank, do i need to have that bank's credit card.
example; BT from maybank to CIMB, need to have CC from both MB and CIMB, or MB's only is enough?
thanks.
