this term of "call-to-open-slot" is not official. coz i had this experienced in malay, the cs just said "KAMI KENA 'BUKA' DULU AMEX KALAU NAK BUAT PEMBAYARAN DI WEBSITE NI". so rather than just said "call-to-open", i prefer "call-to-open-slot"

previously, i try to make payment at a website (refer attachment below), but cannot proceed. after tried it twice, my friend (next to me) who had purchased at this website before said need to call bank 1st to "allow" the transaction, and not long after that (less than 5 mins), maybank cs did call me and asking if i really make the payment at the website (company name), and i said yes. then the cs told me that i need to call them to open transaction for that website (company name) to avoid scam. so i just ask them open/allow, and they verify me, and after that i can proceed with the payment at the website. for my 2nd 3rd and so on transaction, i need to call maybank cs 1st to ask them to open/allow the transaction at the website before can proceed (verification process applied).

1. "call-to-open-slot" for amex is ONLY applicable for company/merchant that support amex for their online payment, but with permission of maybank/amex 1st. number to called is as stated at the back of amex card.

2. usually is bcoz the company faced so many scam (using stolen amex number) to purchase items from their website.
so they co-operate with maybank to block amex transaction for their website (merchant name), unless, maybank un-block it 1st for certain time (example u call at 2pm and maybank open/allow till 12pm for same day).

3. at the website, u can select/choose amex for payment option. but if u just key-in ur amex info without call cs to open the slot, ur transaction will be failed.

note: this is malaysian registered-based website (www.*.my).
if call maybank cs and ask to open the slot for this company, they already familiar witth this company name.

AGAIN - this is only for website that CONFIRM can support amex and have this option.

at the time i'm posting this - ETIQA is NOT accepting amex for their online payment yet, even have amex as payment option.
while AIRASIA & MAS didnt implement this "call-to-open-slot" option (yet? or maybe wont?).

AFAIK, etiqa still cannot accept amex for their online payment yet.

but at the website i mentioned, yes i did received cashback coz the transaction date is on satuday (and the posting date is 4 days later).

my bro-in-law and 2 friends (total = 3 person) successfully applied this card with submitting just IC and latest 2 months' salary slips, 1 applied at KLCC and 2 at OU (all get within 1-2 hours)

IMHO, better change it to - The rebate is credited to the AMEX card on next month, usually on 1st or 2nd day of the month.

my own experience, yes only a malaysian website. if outside company, maybe not easy to co-operate with maybank?

check your M2U, the card appear or not?

So far all my online transaction on Sat & Sun got cashback coz got transaction date on that day

is the other 3 MC also from maybank? if yes, just cancelled it, coz no benefits.

still cant accept amex for their payment

yes here we mentioned about online payment coz want to get the cashback, not pay-by-phone

i never suffered with cashback offers. this 2011 already get more than rm1k cashback already

the only rules - pay full statement amount. dats all ~

this is because:

1. me and my wife both applied for principal card. so we can get rm100/month
2. last month i redeemed rm400 shopping vouchers, while my wife redeem rm200 shopping vouchers + 4x nandos vouchers.

so the cashback + voucher value is already rm1k

just enter ur visa/mc number.

besides, amex dont have gst ~

even if u enter ur visa debit (atm) number or maybank acc number also can.

the system will detect the points based on ur ic.

last time i redeemed, maybank deduct from my master points 1st then the remaining balance from amex points ~

ur fren might use AMEX Gold Credit Card.

as long as its not AMEX Maybankard 2 that come together with visa/mc, it will get MR.

3 successful application already from my family and fren ~

its not me, but my bro-in-law and 2 friends did that and success (even get the cards within 2 hours).
no need bank statements.

not only the 2 cards, but all maybank acc under ur IC (savings acc, visa petronas, etc.)

after. even if u pay first rm50 bank will still credit back rm50 on next statement.

Added on October 11, 2011, 4:53 pmeh the "EZYPAY 0% for PLATINUM VISA and MASTERCARD and WORLD MASTERCARD", u stated "Maybankard 2 Platinum not included".

but i did received it by mail. now i only have maybankard 2 amex & mc plat. if mbk2 plat not included, why i'm receiving it?

the t&c stated "This promotion is open to all Maybankard Visa & MasterCard Credit Cardmembers (except American Express Charge and Credit Card, Corporate Cardmembers, Debit, Visa Debit)".

if want to look for the column, look for "Local currency" then "Credit" (the most right column).
