Yes, rebates are based on transaction dates.

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Oct 26 2011, 08:33 PM) I charged RM3.75 to my MBB2 AMEX at Jaya Jusco Mid-Valley last Saturday. A bit extreme may be but i just don't care because i want my 5xTP + 5% discount Yup, no harm to do so. I swiped it once for around RM6 too. I think usually the cashiers are ok with it, but the customers behind would probably be cursing us. This post has been edited by jian5481: Oct 26 2011, 09:48 PM |

Yup. that's true for me too. Rule:
To qualify for 5% rebate, it is based on transaction date To decide which month the rebate will be given, it is based on posting date. |

QUOTE(gerrardling @ Nov 10 2011, 03:11 PM) Yes, there's this "cukai perkhidmatan" thing, but it's only a few cents. QUOTE(ronnie @ Nov 10 2011, 03:30 PM) Which email address did you send your request to ? amex.customercare@maybank.com.myHow many days did the Auto-Debit kick in after Bill Date ? They mentioned 3-4 weeks. Not too sure when it took effect because my bills are dated around 11-15th each month, while i submitted the request at the beginning of August. So I still had to pay August's bills myself. September bills onward on auto-debit. QUOTE(jasmineh2y @ Nov 10 2011, 04:06 PM) Cool, i must try it. thx You can try to go to TMPoint to change the name. I think your sister got to be there to change it. If not, the other way is to cancel your current subscription, and register for a new account.Anyone know how to change the owner name for the TMNet as it is under my sister name. I'd like to change it so that can use it for tax deduction. Pls advise. Thx This post has been edited by jian5481: Nov 10 2011, 04:09 PM |

QUOTE(gerrardling @ Nov 13 2011, 10:16 PM) It's more like a loyalty card. To maximize the profits from your starbucks card, reload it using mbb 2 card at weekend. When you want to buy drinks, use tumbler coz u can get rm2 off. At the same time, use ur Bcard and genting world card to get the points Loyalty card is usually for rewards/benefits (points, discount, promotion). A card with value in it is more like a prepaid card. So I guess tifosi's term is more appropriate. |

1.6k monthly, you won't get any issuers to approve you. It'll come to <20k per annum...

QUOTE(echoesian @ Dec 19 2011, 03:28 PM) I think all Maxis centers and MEPs are opened at least on Saturdays. Those in shopping malls should be available everyday. Also, the link ronnie provided contains the list of Maxis center that most of us tried to pay with AMEX (regardless of acceptance). |

Try again at a later time. It's always like this in the morning. I usually check after lunch hour. Probably the updating for reward points is done around this time of the day.

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Jan 1 2012, 06:21 PM) Gee ! just inserted my Amex into Esso pump for few seconds only and I received the sms notification from 66628. Then 30 min later, they called my mobile to confirm whether I have made a transaction at Esso. I got that too, stating that the amount is RM200. I was shocked to see it at first...but then I realised that it should be the pre-credited amount, just like how debit cards work. Hope this is true. Anyone who got the SMS care to verify this too?Great Job MBB2Amex !! |

QUOTE(asdzxc @ Jan 8 2012, 08:16 PM) Hi I need to ask something Look at transaction date, not posting. Posting date might affect which month the cashback will be given.Do I entitle for a cash back if say my transaction date is on a Saturday or Sunday? or is it based on posting Date on when Shell charges my transaction into the system ? e.g transaction at 7pm at Shell via Amex Sunday is it counted as Sunday based on transaction time & date or based on when Shell charges me (posting date) ? e.g. Transaction date is on a Sunday, but posting date is 1st of February. You'll get your cashback for that transaction the following month. This post has been edited by jian5481: Jan 8 2012, 08:21 PM |
