I just found this wonderful thread tat can sav cost on CC purchase.

I hav a rm2500 purchase which i wan to use my card to pay, which card offer the best rebates and this purchase/payment can only be done from Mon~Fri, so Maybank Amex is out of the question although i hav this 2card combo.
i hav SCB Plat.,Citi Cashback Plat.,HL Plat.,Hsbc Gold, and MBF Plat.

Amex can pay the mininum 5% or rm50 which ever is higher and the AE is a full payment charge card? why do ppl still wan the AE where u can just pay the minimum 5% on the Amex?

actually i seldom use this MB 2card combo of Amex and the Visa, i got these both cards was because i own another MB card and some marketing guys call me to ask me to take these 2 cards which promised free annual fee waiver.
i usually would settle my cards on 100% usage so as not to let the banks charge me exhorbitant interest of 13~18% per annum.
however if they call up and offer me interest free Cash Advance, i would entertain them cause i will use those Cash Advance to be converted into short term Time Deposit to earn extra cash and settle the full amt once the CA term matures............

So i should transfer out all my Auto Debit ac from Citi CB tomolo and pledge them to Amex ? btw, Auto Debit on utility bills also entitle to 5X points rite?

And is Amex widely accepted like Visa/Mastercard? as i only used my Amex on pumps to test how good is the card.

I actually wanted the "original" American Express CC which i idolise during my school days in the eighties (yes,i am an oldcok now) I now hav most cards except RHB( hate this, terminated even my platinum) ,OUB, Diners and CIMB.

its good, you can register your cards,your spouse and 2 other members of your family/frens, if u happen to misplace/lose any of your card/s just one call, you are safe locally or international

next time i will carry my Amex and another card, during pymt time, just flash out the Amex and ask the cashier to swipe/get authorisation even if he/she resist, if failed then only use the other CC

btw, Amex dun hav the Wave function huh? its verv convenient wei.......

Car4 dun shows the Amex sign but they accept, same goes to Shell too

now gonna ditch my CiTi card liao, maybe terminate it after using all the points to sav on the rm50 gov tax and i hav pledge lots of my utility bills to them too, can i transfer all my auto debit for bills to Amex, if yes wat is the easiest way as i hav to terminate the currently pledged ones to CiTi too

paying bills via ATM at Maxis? even my CiTi was rejected last mth

easy la..........go around shopping complexes, sometimes they hav promo of new sign-up, its easy if u go there to apply as those sales guys hav an easy wat to kautim or help you to kautim, they are expert on this kind of stuff
