Of course both.

You want to transfer outstanding balance from one CC to another CC in order to enjoy longer repayment period at low interest fee.

I helped my mom to redeem two RM50 Guardian vouchers before Chinese New Year and she received the vouchers last Friday (3rd December 2012). Instead of two RM50 vouchers, she was given ten RM10 vouchers which is a good thing actually. But guess what ? The vouchers will be expired at the end of next month doh.gif

Can i use the amex to autodebit the monthly payment of prudential insurance? Then got additional charges or not?
Currently the monthly payment is autodebit through my saving account and will charge RM 1 for each transaction.

like pspfan mentioned No for AMEX but Yes for Visa or MasterCard. And you get to earn 1X treats points too with the Visa or MC.

Guys, need some clarification. I have not received any statement from the 1st month of using this card.
I call up CS, to request for the hardcopy statement, and they reply since I already opt for softcopy which can view the statement online, then I can't have the hardcopy.

Is that so? Because I remember last time when I use the Petronas card's time, the moment I receive the statement is quite late, almost due date if got PH in between, and during that time is going to charge.

I know now for 2cards is no charge for Hardcopy statement, but can i have both (view online and hardcopy statement)?

Sure can.. But read the T&C 1st coz most banks will have penalty for early settlement (in your case BT)

You can always login to M2U and print out the pdf format.
If you require a "reminder" to pay your bills then set alarm on your phone or email smile.gif

I think u can ask for printed statement but its RM5/month chargeable.

A fast question from someone lazy to go thru all the threads.

Is the American Express (https://www.americanexpress.com.my/) reward catalague = Maybank Treatpoints reward?

Am I mistaken to think that if I use my MB2Kard Amex i get 5x TP and also rewards point of Amex? Or are both of them are actually the same thing?

as long as the country of transaction is not MY (Malaysia) then it is considered an overseas transaction. So it depends on the country that processed the payment.

Before you make payment next time look out for an option where paypal either does the forex for you (hence the transaction in RM + bad rates) or to let the banks do it for you.

do share once your statement comes.

Going back to Paypal, recently made a payment using it. I have 2 cards linked to Paypal, a MBB2 AMEX and MBB Visa.

The transaction was in USA. When I chose the MBB2 AMEX the payment was quoted in USD. When I chose the MBB Visa the payment was quoted in RM. How come this happens? Is it because there is a tighter integration with Visa such that it can take the live quote and do conversion there and then?

It seems that Amex is not allowed to be used for MYR transactions (all transactions via Amex has to be forex). Must be a licensing issue.

For Visa, there should be a link for you to set whether Paypal does the conversion (hence the MYR quote) or allow the banks to do it (goes back to the transaction currency, USD in this example).
