I was planning to redeem a 65,000pts Rowenta tower fan from Amex. Called them said sudah habis.
Now planning to redeem on the spot at Senheng which offers 8000pts=RM50 or 200pts=RM1 for that tower fan that cost RM299 there.

1) Amex : 65,000pts
2) Senheng RM50 voucher : RM50 x 6 = 8000pts x 6 = 48,000pts <-- saved 17,000 pts!!!
3) Senheng RM1 voucher : RM1 x 300 = 200pts x 300 = 60,000pts

Option 2 very worth it hor. Haha!
Just sharing. Perhaps you guys can advice on this. Just my first time redeem my points. Got the card on sept 2011. :-)

8000 points for RM50 at Sen Heng offer is very good... equivalent to 0.625% cash back rclxm9.gif
BUT is it a promotional rate ?

Time to go to Sen Heng for redemption for Hair Dryer.

I'm an expat working here in Malaysia.
I went to maybank 1U to apply 2 cards on yesterday.
And today I just collected the 2 cards. Really fast!! which the officer told me that it needs 2 weeks cuz i'm a foreigner.

but they are in gold (my annual income is 60k) and shared limit of 5k, Is this normal?
I asked them and they said at least annual income needs 100k...

Well, above issue is not a big deal as I just need CC for my convenience

My question now is I logged on to M2U but I can't see my cards there, Anything I can do? and how do I know when is my due date?

the requirements are higher for foreigners
go to any maybank branch and ask the cs to link your M2 cards to maybank2u

Yeah this is what I heard.
My boss' monthly income is more than 30k per month and yet got rejected by CIMB.
She is an Indonesian. The most ironic part is her monthly salary is credited into CIMB. sweat.gif
She was offered with a HSBC platinum straight away.
Even I also find it funny for CIMB to reject her application.

If you pay using M2U by transferring from your saving account, the outstanding is updated fast right the transfer made. You MAY not be charged for anything as I remembered that there's an extension period of 3 days from the due date.

I just got the card last september. Went travel around Europe with it in whole month of October, now got 7xxxx pts. Although Amex got cash back and 5x points, but the conversion rate was fking high. Mastercard conversion rate was way lower.
