Dont have to worry and keep waiting for the SMS anymore. Maybank in their facebook has stated that we will not receive the alert for ALL transactions.

just wondering..if i use my amex for transaction via phone such as car insurrance renewal, am i supposed to read out all the no in front of the amex card (which include the first 4 CID digits)? if using visa/master, im sure that there is no need to read out our 3 digit CVV no...that means using amex via phone transaction is very unsafe..correct?

As far as i am concerned, Astro will ask for the CVV if one pays their bill over the phone.

Etiqa asked for my 4-digit CID.

So far, no abuse. I believe it's under codes & ethics.

I don't think MOTO transactions requires cvv/CID

but, the CID no for amex is the first 4 digit of the card which means that if we read out our amex card no, we are also reading the CID no..or can we just read out the remaining no (only 11 digits)?

amex card no on card = 1234 123456 12345

btw, what is the purpose of the last 3 digits on the back of the card? if master/visa, its the cvv...but amex also got..for what purpose? cs is useless..they dont even know the first 4 amex no is the 'security no'

No CID is not the first 4 digits of the card. It is a 4-digit number on the front of the card, usually the right side of it.
