Unfortunately there is nothing you can do. The only alternative is to get one of the prepaid cards issued by Alliance Bank which is not linked to your Alliance Bank account such as Younique MC, DiGi MC etc.


If you already have the PBB VISA D2D VISA debit card, you can use that. Alternatively, you can apply for Public Bank ESSO VISA debit card. They will send a statement to you every month and there is no annual fee for this card.

I assume and figure out that the oversea spending also include in the cash back assume that the transaction posted on 1st day of the month are belong to the previous month cash back....

I got a problem here. Ytd I make the payment to 1 company with netbuilder ( by using Public Bank- PB Day2 Day Card ). I complete all the things and also the OTP code. After that I click submit and the webpage keep loading for a long time and at the end i refresh it.
Then the problem come, that company now say not received my payment. I have call to pbe bank and they say the transaction was already successful make. So what am suppose to do now??

Can I make online purchases with the Maybankard MasterCard Platinum Debit (the card with the cherry picture on it)? It seems like there's no MSOS link under the Utilities section (Maybank2u)

Having a new CIMB master debit card, linked to a yOUthsavers account.

I make a hotel booking a agoba, but it says cannot preauthorize my card. Went to CIMB bank and check, banker tell everything is ok, but remind me spending limit for my account is RM200. So I go CIMB clicks>other>mydata>change transaction limit>e-remittance to change the e-remittance limit to RM1000. Go back and try the booking again but still failed.

Before this, I managed to do an online transaction with groupon.
How weird is this

If not mistaken CIMB debit card is not available for online transaction. Last time u do with groupon is thru CIMB clicks is it?

CIMB debit card confirmed cannot be used for online transaction.

I just input every required information through ilovediscount, and it really deducts my balance. Sory, it is ilovediscount, not groupon. Cimb clicks website cant find such billing options to groupon/ilovediscount though.

So far CIMB user din report they manage do online banking...

MSOS is no longer manually registered for quite some time now. It is very likely that they have registered your mobile phone number to the system when they issued the card to you. Just proceed to use your card, key in all details like name, card number etc. If the website you are trying to make a purchase from is supporting MasterCard SecureCode, you will receive a 6-digit code from Maybank through SMS after you've submitted the payment details. Then, just key in the 6-digit. That's it.

guys, i'm currently using RHB Cash-Connect debit MasterCard. can i make online purchase? if yes, how? i have tried to buy app on Play Store but "Your credit card was declined. Please select another payment method or contact your credit card issuer to authorize this purchase." appeared.

Did you sign up for One Time Password? If no, you have to go to ATM to do it or call CS for procedures. Well, actually, call CS and ask why above did not go thru.

When I use my RHB Debit card, most of the time I need to verify using OTP sent to my phone via sms.

PBB also send OTP when make any online purchase but HLB aren't loolz... But it also depend on the website....

hi, i am using maybank debit card to book hotel in agoda.com . However why it show the card need pre-authorization. I try using paypal also cant, i had link my account to paypal, and my account still got the sufficient fund to make the payment. Isn't that any maximum usage per day for this debit card?

It is probably the purchase limit that was causing you th problem. Go to any Maybank ATM and set a higher purchase limit.

I want to ask you all, my Public Bank Visa Electron going to expire in October 2012. Will they going to send me a new one automatically or I have to go there to make request for renew?

I think you might need to call up CS to activate your debit card for oversea transactions.

Try to call their hotline and ask. I canceled mine before it expires last time. So I don't know if they will auto-renew your card and send you a new one when your current one expires.
