How to do the verify by visa for Public Visa Electron?
I register the account in pbb website but cannot find the verify by visa option. Anyone know how to do it?

Now it need not already... Now they send the code to your hp to verify it...

But when I buy thing in Amazon, it only sms me to inform that there is a purchase at there, with the amount and ask me call PBB if I didn't use the card to make purchase at that time. It not send any code for me to verify when doing payment.

nope, I just add my debit card inside. When make payment, no more verify code from handphone or email.
After payment made, 1 sms go to my handphone to inform me that the payment had done.
That all.
So it is very danger that if someone know my debit card number, it can use to direct make payment. I only can know when sms come to me then I have to quickly call bank if this happen.
That why I want to put the verify by visa.
Last time I know got this option one and I had done it. Now recently it just renew my Visa electron, so I try to find the verify by visa but it link me to public bank website to register the card. Then I can't find the verify by visa.
No more other option? If not wrong suppose when make payment, at least should send a code to my handphone so that I can type in the code to confirm the payment but now I don't have that.

That is few website that are verified by visa or secure by mastercard.... Then it only will send to code to your hp.... Few webpage that don't have this option.. 1st is LivingSocial MY, Groupon, EVA Air, AirAsia.... So you need becareful and watch the transaction closely....

so amazon also don't have this right?
When we go in those website, if they got requesting code, it will show verify by visa logo in btm or right side right?

kind off..... It will show the logo there which require the pin to send to your handphone...like airasia webpage... You will see the visa logo at the right botton side...

Forgive me if I am asking a stupid question since there is too many pages for me to check, but I can't use CIMB debit for online transaction correct? I've just saw this on it's FAQ page

For what I remember... So far until now nobody report that CIMB Debit card able to use for online transaction.... So I think you still cant be use for online transaction....

On Oct 19 I booked a hotel through booking. Com using my cimb debit card. My hotel stay in was supposed to be on Oct 25th. It says credit card but I keyed in my debit card details anyhow.

But I forgot to cancel that booking as I found a different hotel, today checked my mail.. Saw booking. Com sent me a mail dated 25th stating that they penalized my no show at the hotel. Not sure if that's possible as I'm using debit card.

Anyhow unable to check my statement via clicks yet due to maintenence and also earlier error.. Unable to dl my statement.

But if not mistaken it can deduct your money for no show up..... As debit card some time use as credit card also.... As long as they got all the details like card number, exp date, name, cvw then it can ald.....

Yes. CIMB Bank debit MasterCard currently doesn't support any online transaction. If your main purpose of having a debit card is for online transaction, get either a Maybank VISA debit card or any of the Public Bank debit cards (we recommend PBB Day2Day VISA debit & PBB ESSO VISA debit).


Because that is online transaction.

Hi, I own a cimb debit card and just open a basic savings acc online recently. When I'm doing online transactions, the basic savings acc does not appear as one of the options to pay. Anyone any idea?

I am using Maybankard MasterCard Platinum Debit. What do I have to do so that I can make online purchases(oversea website) with the card? Do I have to activate oversea transactions n master secure code (MSOS)? If yes, please tell me the steps.(I'm totally a newbie><) TQVM

these 2 visa debit got different with public visa electron?

Only different is public visa electron got 0.5% cash back and it not link with any saving account while those two visa card are linked with saving account....

Just registered Public Bank d2d debit card today. How do I register for pbebank? There is a link for online registration on public bank website, but it does not works for me. Perhaps I should register on ATM?
