New bank card ? Does it have a MasterCard logo ? Anyway, for your information, none of their debit card is supported for online transaction. Currently, only CIMB Bank credit card can be used for online transaction.

Last time they had a debit card product named e.MasterCard. From what i remember, it can't be used for online transaction either.

Anyway, your current CIMB Bank debit MasterCard cannot be used for online transaction. I have this debit card too biggrin.gif

Of course there is smile.gif

- Public Bank Day2Day VISA debit card
- Public Bank ESSO VISA debit card (no annual fee, need to apply and takes 2-3 weeks to get the card)
- Maybank Cherry VISA debit card
etc.

No. You can't. You may however, transfer money to your Maybank account using online IBG through other banks or IBG through other banks' ATM. For more information on IBG, please refer to the IBG thread.

I think i know what your problem is..i experienced it already..but with my maybank saving account.
You need to wait a few working days before the paypal verification code is reflected in the online transaction..at first it won't show..after few days you may check again the transaction. its like waiting the time for the bank to process your transaction. the time depends on the bank..usually 2-3 working days.. nod.gif

Maybank has just launched a new MU VISA Prepaid Card. Do note that this s different from the existing MU VISA debit card as this MU VISA Prepaid Card is a standalone card and can't be linked to any of your Maybank savings/current account.

Attached Image

Pros:
- have M2U access
- can be used for online purchases
- fee free ATM cash withdrawal at all Maybank ATM
- MU privileges (**if you're a fan)

Cons:
- have to buy a starter pack at RM20
- comes with an annual fee of RM6
- benefits are the same as the existing MU VISA debit card but there is absolutely no joining or annual fee for the MU VISA debit card

IMHO, this is a card that you SHOULDN'T get. If you're a big fan of MU and wanna show your love for MU, just get the MU VISA debit card instead which can be linked to your Maybank savings/current account. The fee is simply not worth paying for.

I supposed you are talking about PBB D2D VISA ? Yes, it does apply to overseas retail spending too. For local supermarket purchases, you get 0.8% cash but. Not sure if it applies to overseas supermarket too.

Hi guys I have a alliance hybrid debit card. It was registered long time ago... and now i want to use to buy stuff online or reload celco online... do i need to upgrade? I can't seem to do anything to make it online.

I'm also looking into public bank... mainly cause my boss will pay me straight from there and I want another bank to do my online transaction or mainly use public bank for shopping biggrin.gif.

What kind of debit card can I get? I'll probably go there tomorrow or this week.
