I suppose it would be good for the living room, where visitors can look at its design, be impressed and not actually need to use it.

One thing I love about Dell's UltraSharps are that they have a lot of USB ports. It is so much more convenient to plug the keyboard, mouse and other USB devices into the monitor than into the desktop.

no, as you can use hdmi to dvi cable/converter by the way. Dell is supporter of displayport and they include displayport when alot of similar priced lcd didnt have displayport
i have ps3/xbox360 and u2311h provide image just fine via hdmi to dvi cable

Just bought myself: AOC e2351fh @ LYP for RM530 (nego a bit with ALLHypermart)

Official site: http://www.aocmonitorap.com/hongkong_eng/monitor_293.php

This LED has 'audio out' if you plug in HDMI, so I plugged in the HDMI to my XBOX 360 and the DVI to the PC. The LED auto switch the active signal between DVI/HDMI.

The 'audio out' connects straight to the amplifier, now I can play the XBOX 360 with quality sound. icon_rolleyes.gif
Great price for me personally for an LED that can be used for PC gaming and XBOX 360. nod.gif

The DCR finally is not just for demo like those the LCD lineup, this LED's DCR functions like a dream, it controls the contrast so quick you don't even see it like in generic LCD with this particular feature.

Basic specs:

# Contrast Ratio (typical): 20000000:1 (DCR)
# Response Time (typical): 2ms
# Viewing Angle: 170/160 (CR≥10)
# Scan Frequency: H: 30K~83KHz V: 55~75Hz
# Pixel Frequency: 144MHz
# Recommended Resolution: 1920×1080@60Hz
# Display Colours: 16.7M
# HDCP Compatible: Yes
# Input Signal: Analog RGB, DVI-D and HDMI
# Input Connector: 15-pin D-Sub, 24-pin DVI and HDMI
# Power Supply: 12VDC,3A
# Power Consumption: Power On: <32W(Typical), Standby: <0.5W
# Plug & Play: DDC 2B/CI or VESA DDC2B?
# User Control: Eco/Left, Aspect ratio/Right, Source/Auto, Power
# OSD Languages: 16Languages
# Speakers: earphone Jack

16:10..... more pixels is always better... refering to 1920x1080 vs 1980x1200... Assuming 16:9 content, additional resolution an be used for controller

Dell U2312HM owner, is that true according to review the response time/input lag is only about 0.6ms?

http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_u2312hm.htm

The input lag of the U2312HM was incredibly low, and in fact the lowest we have ever seen from a TFT display. There was practically no delay at all with most measurements showing 0ms lag compared with the CRT. There was an occasional lag of up to 10ms but over many measurements we had an average lag of only 0.6ms.
