How'd you mean messing up the team? I think he was great during the time with us. He scored some great goals.
Apart from the incident with Riise. I still think he'll fit with the current pace of the team.

the problem with Bellamy now is he hates losing , same attitude with Suarez that not happy when he is not scoring biggrin.gif

reasons why you ppl still hate torres for leaving, thats simple, we were going thru a dark long road last season, started so poorly and all, and when henry n FSG came in, we expected our key players to stay and keep the fight for us adoring fans, but no torres was puzzled n left the first chance he could. he has grown to be a hero and saviour in our eyes, after all he was by far the best striker we had for a long long time, even on his way to surpassing the likes of fowler and owen(note that im just comparing with recent times strikers and not the likes of rushie) imo had he stayed longer.

this compared to raul who came to us under a new regime, took a pay cut and played his heart out. was a hero when he scored a stunner against wolves, continued his goalscoring spree for a few games including the winner against chelsea, and was easily our best midfielder going forward as gerrard was injured most of the time, he was played out of position so many times for roy, and we see kenny used him again wide left once when he came in, was it against sunderland ? so with lucas and adam the preferred choice atm, and gerrard coming bk pretty soon, chances are definitely limited. but i'd like to think that we got a btr deal for ourselves, selling him for 12mil. i think both kenny and comolli did a pretty good job. and the early signs so far is that henry n fsg is here to stay n build something special. after the hell we went thru with hicks and whoever his partner's name gillett or smtg i dont even bother remembering, i think we are owed a dedicated n understanding owner wink.gif

informative video about the british football... half of the teams in bpl owned by foreigners
how different it is from german football (35:20 onwards) where the fans/supporters the major owner of the club...

houllier: benitez won the champions league with the players i purchased...
kenny: i will win the champions league with players i purchased myself, not woy!

we got £62m from chelsea in 2011, effectively paying for Suarez, Downing, Adam, Jose Enrique & Coates. not to mention the selling of Ngog, Insua, Ayala, Konchesky, Chris Mavinga, Poulsen and the load of players out on loan to free off the wage bill. Liverpool cleared out the deadwood and brought in the quality. Well Done King Kenny

if stevie back, who is going to be dropped to deep position ? Adam or Gerrard ? I guess Gerrard is more experienced at forward position, that means adam is going to be dropped deep providing the long ball, same thing Liverpool did when Alonso was around

I think gerrard will be employed in forward position, as a playmaker. lucas will stay as it is, acting as defensive midfielder and supporting the back four. Adam will be on the bench, as sub to gerrard..

Or gerrard will be played at right side, replacing henderson..

Hmmm... I would disagree on Gerrard getting in a more forward position. His age is catching up to him. He needs to change his style of play and play a deeper CM role if he wants to play up to 36 - 40 years old. He can't always run like he did when he was younger if he wants prolong his playing career.

I don't think you need to be incredibly young to play behind the front man. I mean the likes of Dennis Bergkamp, Jari Litmanen and Teddy Sheringham played in that position well into their twilight years.

I want gerrard to play Lucas's position. Sacrificing Adam's creativity with the ball is a big
no no for me. His passes made somewhat half of all our chances really.

Lucas is an essential team member of the squad. without him we cannot employ the wingback strategy.

Don't think that will happen. Lucas is a very important player now for the team, more so than even Gerrard himself. I go as far to say that he's now part of the backbone of the new Liverpool team under Kenny. Look at how the team was concerned when he went down injured during the first half against Bolton. Besides, Gerrard will be wasted if he spend most of his time staying back screening the defense when he could be staying further up, marauding in the final 3rd. Imo, keep Lucas and Adam as CM duo as you get the near perfect balance of creativity and toughness to dominate the midfield. Then have Gerrard, Suarez, and Downing as the attacking 3 supporting the main striker. What i've noticed under Kenny is that the attacking 3 would always inter change positions through out the game. With those 3, you can see them swapping flanks all day long and not looked out of place. It's even more effective when Kuyt is deployed as a striker as you even could see the striker dropping back or down the flank and Suarez taking over as the main striker. Has not worked so well with Carroll up top tho which may explain why we've signed Bellamy.
