QUOTE(Nemesis1980 @ Aug 19 2015, 09:37 AM) Well, talking from my exp. I engaged an agent starting with 'R' which i picked their mistake numerous time and slam them few times! Spoilering your lengthy reply as to shorten the scroll length » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « My current agency starts with R too, office very near to convention centre. For 5mths now I'm engaged to them, already 1 mistake and I've slamed the agent once. Though my error is not as significant. My employer reference letter, according to Engineers Australia, requires 5 duty points. I wasn't aware about it, nor did the agent. So having only 4 duty points in the letter, I submitted and have my company superior signed my letters. Now I gotta re-do the whole thing. |

QUOTE(Nemesis1980 @ Aug 19 2015, 09:40 AM) Better be sure you monitor their status. Asking them to update you every week. Ah I know which agent you speak of, I've heard negative things about them. I did mine keep on pushing. That's why i supposed to hv my PR in 3 mths but due to my wife is pregnant, push it to 6 mths. Wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole, even if someone paid me 😅 The one I'm using was recommended by a friend who got his and his wife's 189 in two months. I just got asked to pay 42 AUD for the Aussie Federal police clearance, since I've spent time there previously under a student visa. But so far so good, I don't need to chase for anything. They've been prompt and delivered things even before the given timeline. Very helpful, very kind and I'm very pleased with their professionalism. |

All of them are Aussie PR now. They said historically, hardly anybody gets enough for their first test and gotta reattempt, and this is a way B****sh C*****l milks money out of people. Of course, this kind of thing, nobody knows if it's true or not, nobody will deny, nobody will admit. Just saying. This post has been edited by jianh: Aug 19 2015, 11:37 AM |

i did ielts once got 8/9 in all , dont jelly.
The problem with agencies is their staff turnover is very high, a part from the principle the staff do not know much of the process. This post has been edited by selvenz: Aug 19 2015, 11:36 AM |

I did my IELTS in one go. Got 8 overall, even with my screwup in the reading part (scored 7) No big issue. Plus I don't even want to imagine the look on my dad's face if I had to tell him I failed. Sure kena halau. It's like telling him I didn't get A1 for SPM English. Don't even need to go home lah |

That time the company actually bringing in 6 skilled chinese labourer and applying for visa 457. Now, this get tricky. The application requires all of them sit in IELTS exam and minimal band 5.5 to all module as based on VETASESS at that time. Funny thing is all of them get the visa in 3 mths. When they reached to my office, NONE of them.....yes, none of them speak basic english! So, i spoke to one of them how they manage to get it?!? The answer is, i dunno ar...we pay and we get all arranged for us. We're not even in exam hall!!! WHOA?!? Ever heard about exam representative? I heard them revealed a little that they paid RMB20,000 to IELTS to get all kao tim. That's why IELTS is a scamming machine to generate income. If you catch an Ozzie guy on the street, get him sit for band 7 to all module. How do you expect a none english speaking background to strike 7 or 8? Another one will burn your butt too. One of my boss actually got Malaysia passport somemore. He no malaysian, a chinese guy dunno a shit about malaysia. Reason is for him to apply PR easier if he got Malaysia passport. He paid RM20,000 to a person and whoalah, the passport will sent to you. |

But now... with the biometric passport, forging one is extremely difficult apparently. |
