Source of what? They're being trolled so no need for a source.

I am also being trolled by extension though I am not an accountant or accounting student.

I've been working in Msia now for 2 years after living in Australia for over 20 years.

Have to say, after having first hand experience of both countries, i am imtending to return to Aus after another year. The job market is bad at the moment, but in terms of freedom of speech, crime rate, dollar power, better pay, it looks good.

But mind you, the cost of living in Aus is much higher. You won't find cheap mamak food. I've heard of many Malaysians moving to Aus but been stuck looking for a job. I was asked not to return by many Malaysians, but have to say, after working under Malaysian mentality run companies and the great divide and treatment between Malay in power and Chinese, i'm pro brain drain!

Good luck for those moving to Aus! I'll be returning to join you! After holding on to my Msian passport, after 2 years in Msia, i'm going to drop it for an Australian Citizenship when possible!

One of the reasons why I want to move. Hopefully I can get used to the lifestyle there and get a good enough job.

Planning to make my visa validation trip April next year. Mind to share how do I go about setting up accounts & Medicare? Do not have kids atm so that can be exempted for the time being. smile.gif

Setting up both medicare and Bank accounts is fairly easy.

You can do the bank either NAB or Commonwealth via online from here and go there and activate or you can do it there takes like 10 mins all they need is passport and pr grant letter. they will set up internet banking straight away so you can wire funds

Medicare is also fairly simple and quick just go to any medicare center and sign up documents required is PR grant letter and passport.

They are quite friendly and will guide you along the way.

my other half will be going end feb before i and daughter join mid year or later depending how fast she can secure employment, we have narrowed down to Doncaster, East Doncaster or Mt waverly due to secondary schools and public transportation access.

In the interim she would be staying in viewbank (relative place).

We only would rent in this areas once we secure appointment.

Sorry, I should rephrase. Is it unadvisable to just pack up and move to Australia without an initial landing prior. Because, I had originally planned on an initial landing earlier in Oct but some circumstances didn't allow that to happen.

So, I am sort of just moving to Aus with my initial landing being on the same day.

Any advise on how to get into the O&G industry?

ah.. yes, important to send your daughter to a good school there.

we do not have any relatives there to spare us any room, so we are looking for rental at cheaper areas.

All the best to your migration journey yeah.

Hi Everyone,
I got a couple of questions regarding this topic. I am a SAP Financial Accounting Consultant by profession(Certified) and single. I wish to find a job in Melb city if possible. Anybody have an idea what are my chances or is there a demand for SAP there? Btw SAP is a ERP software if you are wondering what is it. It in IT field. =)
