Hey friend, just think out of the box. CA & QS scope are all cross over.
Just the position name is different. U really think case officer is a QS background??They all based on AIQS to verify ur work profession whether suitable to practice QS.
Did AIQS replied u??

Many ppl studied QS but never practice it coz it's boring and dull. Now, the opportunity has come and can't fulfill the requirement.
Many ppl like to go thru the easy way
*
All this while i think i doing qs work... but end up no...

Do i need to join my local professional bodies?

Maybe can give a try on applying based on qs...

May i know do i engage MARA agent to deal wif AIQS better than my own???

hard to give a ballpark figure. living in the city cheapest i think its also AUD1500 per month including utilites (estimate). Suburb will be cheaper. That being said, u can find jobs but they pay shits. Go work as a waiter in the china-man owned restaurant, they will pay cash in hand but low pay and work u like shit.

Well, working here almost 3 mths now. Just wanna highlight few things here:-
Pros:-
1) work is great. pay also ok
2) can buy gadgets at pretty cheap. due to high purchasing power
3) cars is cheap, bye bye to proton or myvi
4) public transport is good, bring u there on time
5) can get any food u want here
6) nice weather, can try to catch some mudcrab soon
7) medical coverage is good, insurance is good too (compared dollar to dollar) it's worth of getting 1, got bonus on teeth washing and spectacles
8) education for kids, almost free (public school of course); if kids entering uni, special previleage on fees repayment and low fees.
9) gov intensive on kids and wife who doesn't work
10) buying 1st house got intensive
11) great working culture, can go on leave when necessary (cats & dogs died also can take leave)
12) great working hours
13) can go shopping anywhere u want (with kangaroos or koalas of course coz they shut at 5pm)
14) got plenty gimmicks from restaurant, ex. hungry jack shaking ur phone get free burgers....yeah i know it's silly but its free man...
15) fuel price....so so coz floating to worldwide price, sometimes get discount if u shop in coles or woollies (my lowest record is $1.33/litre, ron91, average is 1.44/litre)

Cons:-
1) shitty tax structure. ur yearly earning the best dun earn higher than 150k/annum. they'll tax u like mad
2) any income from malaysia rental or watsoever, they'll taxable
3) shares profit taxable; any additional income or money taxable!
4) utility cost is madness! if u own a property, ur yearly utility cost (elec, gas, water, phone, etc) will need to pay admin fees which exclude ur usage somemore, somewhere 5-6k/year?
5) council fees at 1700/year?
6) GST on everything!10%
7) Banking fees charge almost everything! Service is damn slow, banked in cheque takes more than 3 days...got my money almost 5 working days!
8) insurance doesn't really cover everything, want extra? pay lar!
9) if u nd to hospitalize? must get GP recommendation letter. Go into hospital almost half dead still require GP letter....hehe
10) Ozzie working ethnic? slow and not so bright though....try don't make things complicated, make it very*2 extremely simple as they dun like to think and they'll complain u mislead them...hehe (dun play numbers ar..)
11) Very boring place, make sure u got internet connection, tv or get PS3 or Xbox here. If not, u'll bored rotten till death here
12) Even shopping malls tend to open till 9pm, but only ghost shop around

yeap, tat's my experience so far. anyone who wanna add something here, feel free to share. Ciao

May I know which city you living in? Based on your post I'm guessing you have a family to support, what do you think the life will be like for a young person who migrate there alone?

The real question now you are there for 3months is, can you see yourself living like that for the rest of your lives without the possibility of returning to M'sia

Well, robert choo my friend. I won't let my family return to the 'endless possibilities' country.
You know wat's going on back there. How do you expect me to risk my family future to go back?
1st, bashing chinese, later indian, now christian, then wat?
I suggest sabah and sarawak should independent themselves instead

when u try to apply for a job, always remember get urself a visa 1st. not the tourist visa but the visa allow u to work.
Oz has a major problem. Plenty of job here but no 1 willing to work. y? coz the gov restrict the foreign workers. how? Oz worker will take the job 1st. later only for immigrants. if ur job is highly demand, then u have better chance of getting 1. if ur job profession to broad to get anyone on board, then u'll be in hard time getting a job.
getting the PR not the biggest hurdle so far i concern. it's the job security. if really u can't find ur job profession, might as well change line. some ppl making a good living in other industry. this has to ask urself wat's ur purpose of migrating. if u're thinking of making big money here, sorry, this is not the place for u. earning big bugs still malaysia. looking for normal life, semi-retire and kids education, here might be ur choice.
came out in local newspaper, almost 1000 new immigrants arrive in perth.

Hi guys, just came back from KL. Everything back to normal again. Rented an apartment unit near city. 2x1 at 300/week.
Well, miss my wife & kids in KL but they'll join me soon this year.
A week trip to KL is definitely not enough for me. What can i say, KL shopping is awesomely cheap! AUD2k for a week is definitely more than enough to spend.
Yeah, bought plenty of clothes and shoes for my wife & kids and they're really happy of it but i just miss them so much.
I hope anyone who intend to migrate, please do so and make it fast.
Next year i foreseen plenty of job will be coming coz economy seems picking up after so many hassle (election & year end)
Not necessarily to take agent to do the job. you can DIY. save ur bloody money.

Hey, try to take it again. After liberal take over, damn, rules might change again.
I know it's f*cking hard and IELTS stop people from coming over.
Ozzie gov sucks, most of my friend here had same situation as u. some of them is leaving for no choice coz they sit for IELTS 5 times!

Nemesis there seems to be some hostility with the government there. you have to understand that they have to protect their citizens first if it comes to immigration and jobs to foreigners. though they are not doing too good of a job with the boats arriving... don't bash them too hard sad.gif
