Previously, this is what I did:
1. Ask around
2. Get a prepaid mobile for the traffic lights and see which one is the best.

eh ... nolah the abalone was real. just ... very small. the 'possibly fake' part was just referring to the sharks fin; nowadays restaurants like to use these 'vegetarian' ones.

any ideas how much of an average MNC manager earns in Singapore? (IT line)
*
That's too broad a question.

IT managers in banks earn more than their counterparts in say, logistic MNCs.

A VP (manager rank equivalent) in a foreign bank in Singapore pulls in around SGD150k - 200k per annum (excluding bonuses).

VP is already middle management, no? The foreign bank I work in, entry-level managers only pull in somewhere around half of that.

In Singapore, there's really no need to modify your car. If you want more power, just buy the higher model. For instance, the Evo X is only about 50-60% more than a standard Lancer. In Malaysia, it's triple the price. It's just the way the taxes work.

I guess in order to get the best signal, there is not much choice but to test it out. Even in Tempines, some area performance might be better than the other. :-).

Bear in mind VP IT positions in foreign banks in Singapore are much sought after hence your friend needs a track record of accomplishments and be a good conversationalist.

Actually different rooms in my flat will have different signal strength. I'm on Singtel for mobile BB, and Starhub for iPhone plan. Same issue with both, in terms of different rooms.

Aiyo, buy so powderful car for wat lar. SG so small no place to run, so jam and everywer got camera. Human cross the road is bigger than ur car, u have to give way first.
Just get one that looks expensive from the outside and the most noisy muffler will do.
