hehehe, diff is the 1.4 twincharger is not just turbo... there's super charging as well... therefore doesnt mean all the power have to come from spooling the turbo.. usually above certain rpm the super charger turns off and the turbo kicks in... but i believe you can keep the super charger on all the way  rclxms.gif  gearbox no prob... both the 6-speed and 7-speed dsg can take those power, brakes? just change to ceramic pads lor... caliper still can take it...

dont need change intercooler/radiator/oil cooler/ water pump/ oil pump... usually only trucks or rally cars need this as their turbo is always kicking in

stage 2 chip i think around sgd 1.1k, but can get it done cheaper in msia...

cousin did it to his jetta, but his is the stock model that comes with 170bhp already
*
supercharging it? hehe..
i think what sean says is quite true..
there is alot of factor you need to put in before considering to put in a stage 2 chip, in which after all the mods, you could opt for a higher model already
(please be considerate & think of the innocent)
by default a jet can outrun your daily wira-lution and inspira-lution

a stage 2 chip can make your car gun faster, but what about the power to brake ratio? ceramic pads only good for certain period, 2 run and a half down at sepang, you will be having a bbq pads..suspension coil over? gearbox may handle the daily pressure, how about emergency downshift?

supercharging may be gunning it all the way, but what truely matters is your skill to control the toy..

i've seen many ppl with 300horsies down the hood but when it comes to taking sideways, they hit on the red as fast as they accelerate, even wira-boy dares to take sideways better than them

In Singapore, there's really no need to modify your car. If you want more power, just buy the higher model. For instance, the Evo X is only about 50-60% more than a standard Lancer. In Malaysia, it's triple the price. It's just the way the taxes work.

Guys, I need some help here.

I wanted to open a saving account with POSB bank. The staff there told me that if I am holding a work permit, then I need to check with my employer to see my employer has a Corporate Account with POSB. If dont have then I cannot open "Work Permit Saving Account" with them. After I checked with my employer, they do not have Corporate Account with POSB.

The staff said if I want to open saving account by my own, then I need to declare to them why I need to open my own, how may transactions per month I will make etc. And even if I declare, it is still subject to approval.

I saw their website saying that for the foreigner saving account, if balance fall under $5000 per month, I will be deducted $2 per month. I will also be deducted for $2 for each cash withdrawal.

So is there any other bank that can let me open a saving account by my own, have ATM card, NO fall-below charge, NO cash withdrawal charge, NO initial deposit (if required then the most is $500), and have E-Banking access.

I hope can get answer here, thank you.

you can try oc-bc,
i opened it without even need of showing work pass..just showed them my m'sian passport, nric..
just gave them a reason that i wanna save money here..
but minimum must keep at least 1k there, else each month deduct $2..
and can be used for giro,e-banking etc..
