Hi guys,

I am going to apply for a personal loan of at least RM35,000 to settle my credit card debts with repayment period of 3 years.

Just wanna check with the experts here whether my loan will be approve. Currently I have 3 credit cards and a hire purchase for my car. My basic salary is RM6,000 per month working in a private sector. I got an offer for the personal loan which will auto deduct from my salary as repayment.

I've also went to Bank Negara to check my CCRIS status. Please advice whether will it be approve or not.

Well I think the bank is going to make you do a debt consolidation (balance transfer) with the PL you going to apply since youre exposure is quite high and late payment on your hire purchase. And they might also suck you dry with the interest by making the tenor of the PL longer than what you want. Al Rajhi (I only know this bank since I took a PL or technically PF(Personal Financing))... you can borrow max RM30K with a RM6K basic.

I need advice
I'm planning to apply for personal loan around 25k to pay my outstanding study loan.
I'm a contract government staff but been working for 8 years already with around 3k salary.
My commitment is my car and credit card less than 5k.
Am I eligible?
Please advice.
My study loan is accumulating because of the interest although I've been paying steadily for the past few years.

Thanks for your suggestion! However, Balance Transfer need to apply a credit card from that bank 1st right? I tried apply a new credit card thru few banks however my application was rejected. Will it be the same result if I apply for balance transfer?

My guess would be probably so as it is also an unsecured credit facility. But don't let that deter you but you should try to figure out the reason by visiting BNM and obtaining your CCRIS report.

Most bank would offer max 5X your monthly salary. So that can lower your study loan if the interest is lower...

Currently I'm submitting HLB personal loan, if in the same time I try to apply personal loan from other banks and it approved can I reject either one?

Whoever call you from Stand. Chart offering personal loan should be a scam. This is the trick they often use. They tell you that the PL is a reducing rate. And the rate is 9.9%.

However, the rate they told customer is actuallly a flat rate 9.9%. Converting to effective rate, it is 18.x %.

I don understand how SC explains their product. If customer is interested in reducing loan, they should tell the customer the effective rate instead. This is the biggest scam of all PL product.

I have a CIMB Property Financing account, and a credit card Visa Signature. Current debt is around 50k and I would like to apply a personal loan from CIMB to settle my CC debt and repay it in 5 years.

Im also currently serving another personal loan from HSBC, around 50k. So far no late payments in any of my credit cards, hire purchase or home financing.

My gross income is 14k a month.
