You're right, in a way having the bond with Singapore sort of guarantees that my employment pass won't get rejected when I apply for a job but 3 years does tie me down because may not want to work in Singapore that long.

Qualified student were given the option of tuition grant. You can decline the offer by not signing the deed (during enrollement phase) and pay the full fees.. I am sure that not all student got the tuition grant and there are people who pay the full fees. Let me know if you really get the grant without you and two other guarantor sign on the deed infront of a MOE officer.
