The most effective but expensive method is to do it the old fashion way. Come over to Singapore, and then extend your visa to long term.
My gf applied EPEC, 2 weeks ago, still pending until today

@yiivei: i think my tax consultant told me that it's 183 working days, not 180 working days + 25 living-in-singapore-on-tourist-visa days.
[edit] either my consultant was wrong or my memory fails me. IRAS website: QUOTE Under our tax residency rules, you will be regarded as a tax resident if you stay or work in Singapore for at least 183 days in a calendar year. The number of days in Singapore include weekends and public holidays. This post has been edited by deodorant: Jul 6 2011, 10:07 AM |

QUOTE(yeahs4.1 @ Jul 7 2011, 05:30 PM) surprisingly, malaysian driving license is accepted in USA. My friend used it back in the states, and apparently it's legal since he got a speeding ticket from the cops. lol. Different states different rules. And different cops different interpretation. But generally as long as you're a visitor, and as long as your license is in English, then you can drive in the U.S. with the foreign license. |

QUOTE(Cho_Hakkai @ Jul 8 2011, 01:14 AM) Do you all every year receive bonus or not? Do you all need to sign contract to the the bonus or not? Bonus, as it's name implies, is a "bonus." There is no such thing as a mandatory bonus. (cos then it's not a bonus ... ) Contractual bonuses are guaranteed - these should be written in your contract. Performance bonuses are not guaranteed and will not be in your contract. Guys > SG to JB, I remember last time somewhere around Bugis my friend take me sit taxi $7. Still valid? Planning to go to JB tonight after work to pick up gf's car to household shopping over the weekend. |

eh, nothing special about being a BA what. any job path also got opportunity for growth (and therefore higher title and salary), whether it is by promotion in company or by job hopping mah. if i 1 year experience and already $10k then of course can bangga a bit, but i'm not - if i benchmark against my peers i'm just on 'average' career growth only.

so anyway I took a trip to parisilk bedok outlet, the guy there didn't want to suggest anything. He was like 'you go all those superstores and see what exactly you want, email me the model and I'll quote price.'
also ... hdb parking such a pain if you're not season parker. 10.30pm-7.30 one overnight coupon, in the daytime 1x coupon for every half hour, end up dashboard full of coupons =_= btw silly question. those bamboo poles to hang clothes from hdb ... mana dapat? haven't seen any being sold anywhere also. |

QUOTE(ceo684 @ Jul 11 2011, 01:41 AM) maximum $10 rule for 24hrs not applicable meh? oh i didn't know this rule. actually didn't know anything about hdb parking. drive car in go 7-11 buy coupon, the guy at the counter even more clueless than me. just dumped a few different booklets in my hand and say 'er you read and see which ones you need.' through fluke only deciphered that 10.30-7pm = nighttime = $4, then daytime gotta pay. my hdb uses a multistorey thing, first 3 floors reserved for season This post has been edited by deodorant: Jul 11 2011, 09:48 AM |
