i got problem with my newly purchased N9. surfing using wifi (unifi at home) takes a very very very very long time.change encryption from wpa2 to wpa also not helping. and cannot login facebook at all. do u guys experience the same?
*
How far are you away from your wifi router? I find the wifi is pretty weak on the N9. I'm hoping a new update will be out soon. It support 5GHz band but fail to detect my router which works like charm with S2 and iPad2.

Changing encryption has nothing to do with wi-fi speed. First of all make sure it is not a unifi problem by testing the speed on your PC. If the wi-fi signal is weak it will slow down so try in the same room as your router. Otherwise it may be due to interference from your neighbours so you can try changing the channel.

Same here. I find the wi-fi receiver on the N9 is weaker than my Samsung Wave.

how do u guys protect the screen. can't find any sp yet. where can find 1?

I cut my own from a 7" Galaxy Tab screen protector. It's just a rectangle with no holes so easy to cut.

Another 4 hours to go before my phone reach 2 days without charging. I am on push email (3 emails) and wifi 24/7. No other touch screen phone has ever gone this far.

Seriously, im loving this phone. It is time to sell off my BlackBerry tongue.gif

Yup, WiFi signal is weaker in my N9 compared to my iPad and BlackBerry. Fortunately, I am not very far from my WiFi router and it is still OK.

The only issue I have is while talking to somebody on the phone. The sound of the other party is not loud enough (still can hear but the volume is average even though I set it to the max).

I hope the wi-fi reception can be corrected in an os update but if it is a hardware issue then have to live with it. Anyway I changed my TM unifi router to a stronger model.

that explains... mine also facing weak wifi signal issue, i got only one bar where my iPhone can get 2 bars... also, andre how exactly did u solve the battery sucking issue? mine still seems pretty bad, offline mode, 45%, few pictures and a video, 3 hours later it dropped to power saving mode(i set it to 20%) after light browsing...

also i find the touch detection a bit too sensitive? often when i was scrolling gently, it detects as touch. facebook app also hangs and buggy to me most the time. Message facebook chat also sometimes unable to send out messages and there are no way of telling why... >.<

Battery life usually improves overtime from new, depending how you use and charge.

Yup, sensitive, but same like iPhone, also sensitive; maybe this more sensitive due to the screen.
FB App is kinda buggy and laggy, it usually lags when you switch as it's loading.

FB Chat so far OK, but "dislike" the pop up VKB which disrupt the view, ESPECIALLY in portrait mode, which can hardly read the previous message. Already used to hardware keyboard...

Has anyone tested to open http://touch.facebook.com via N9? They have already updated this site by using HTML5. Maybe it will be much better than the FB App?

Ya, I love everything about N9, but only the WiFi is weak. It takes ages to open even lowyat forum. Tried using my samsung wave connection is ok and load as usual.

Lucky soon I'll change to line and get data plan.
