QUOTE(zero_kbom @ Sep 16 2011, 02:35 AM) Its really a missed opportunity for me not being able to attend the meeting (Too busy IRL), but still, the build quality you just mentioned makes me thinking back about getting a Mytouch 4g Slide. Its N9 or not, hmmmmmm....... Not sure what do you mean, but the build quality is darn good, solid and tough. Eda from Nokia, throw the phone on the table a few times, and it was not "gentle" throw, it's like you're furious and angry (e.g. phone annoyed you) and then you throw it hard. She did it couple of times, everyone was SHOCKED and feeling the pain! Give it to ussssssssssss QUOTE(super_evil_alien @ Sep 16 2011, 03:16 AM) Even the developers who has N950 were very understanding. Darn, I was thinking to take picture of it and play with it LATER after you know, the heat gone down a little, but the N9 were no longer available. I only get to hold it ONCE They just gave away their N950 for us to test. I just took couple of pictures then started messing with the phones. While others mostly preferred to take pictures only... Come on guys, you had access to the most elusive phone on planet but instead of testing it to your heart content you just took pictures of it? P/S: I accept any kind of donation for my fund to buy N9.I promise to help future N9 owners with any kind of problems Anyway, was busy taking photo, didn't notice you're testing the phone, if not maybe can record the video of your hands on. QUOTE(HexPhoenix @ Sep 16 2011, 08:21 AM) Not sure as I don't have SGS2, but it's solid and very nice feel and to hold. Eda from Nokia, threw the phone on the table a couple of times. Read top post for more detail. |

Any idea about battery life? I know nobody has it long enough to test, maybe use N900 as comparision? Is the OS battery draining or as energy efficient as Symbian

QUOTE(HexPhoenix @ Sep 16 2011, 08:21 AM) N9 build wins hands down. But that doesn't mean SGS II build quality is bad QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Sep 16 2011, 08:29 AM) still not too late to resell the SGS II u getting for a Nokia N9 lol. A few people i talked to a few android users they keep focusing on the negative of a Nokia N9 keep saying dead OS but then conclusion is its not technology its what you do with it. Nope. The SGS II will be with be with me for a long time.I need a proper phone with me now.I'll try to work on something to get my own N9. QUOTE(Andy214 @ Sep 16 2011, 09:34 AM) Anyway, was busy taking photo, didn't notice you're testing the phone, if not maybe can record the video of your hands on. Eda actually gave the N9 1st to me Not sure as I don't have SGS2, but it's solid and very nice feel and to hold. Eda from Nokia, threw the phone on the table a couple of times. Read top post for more detail. I tested the phone when Eda was talking to everyone. QUOTE(eaglehelang @ Sep 16 2011, 09:53 AM) Any idea about battery life? Is the OS battery draining or as energy efficient as Symbian This I cannot answer.Need a regular user to make feedback from daily usage. But I think the battery should be better than N900. |

QUOTE(HexPhoenix @ Sep 16 2011, 08:21 AM) Build quality Nokia still wins usually. SGS II is just not classy enough when you hold it. But it's still pretty decent. I didn't compare to N9 but my previous Nokia seem more nicely made compared to SGS II. Don't compare what's in the hood though cause Nokia is just a shame. Ok people, on the way home, I went to ask the Nokia authorised dealer(it's nearby).
Expected availability : 7th Oct. Good news is there will be 3 colours available for 64 GB If purchasing under contract, only black will be available for 64 GB. That's what the salesman said, better you all go check at Digi, Celcom if want to be sure This post has been edited by eaglehelang: Sep 16 2011, 05:38 PM |

I pernah tibai all of them from morning then start work with half battery and just keep a light usage while at work. Battery can still keep alive even at 0 for quite some time... on idle that is.N900 could last a full 18 hr day? Sorry, I dont hv an N900 & not a tech geek. What I'm trying to say here is that if you use the N900 for basic needs a lot then it has a good life. Most of us N900 tards get only so much of battery life because... I bet several of us use it as if using our PCs or laptops |

Before PR1.3 my phone cant last even a day OC @ 900mhz. For the Nokia N900
With PR1.3 no problem lasting a day with my online usage of FB, twitter and msn Since N9 is AMOLED should be able to last a day or more This post has been edited by aspire2oo6: Sep 16 2011, 09:18 PM |
