i cant find proxy setting to add the US base IP. where is hidden proxy setting.

How many people already receive call from Asus/Evernew..? Still waiting for mine...

u go market download this software called anycut
after installing it, launch it, and select "New Shortcut"
Select "Activity"->"Proxy Setting", it will ask u to name your shortcut. u can leave it to default or put some name for it, then press ok
u will see there's a message "Shortcut successfully created"
go to ur home screen, you should see your shortcut there(it will be named Proxy Setting if u leave it to default name)
tap on it, and it will launch the hidden proxy setting

*if you launch the shortcut and get to the setting screen on some other setting, press "back" until u are back to your homescreen, then tap on the shortcut again, u will now see the proxy setting


ok, my bad, forgot to mention in detail... on HideMyAss, if u search with IP:Port Proxies, u get IP address, and port number
on the hidden menu,
the Proxy Hostname, key in the IP Address(for example, "82.35.26.39"),
and the Proxy Port, put in the port number(for example: "3128" or "8080")
and there should be another field, that field just leave it blank, and press save

to find hidden proxy settings, you need to use Any Cut apps to 'unhide' it. you should have no problem downloading it from the market. yea, ironic that u need to download something from market to fix market isue.

start Any Cut. create a new shortcut. select activity and look for proxy settings. then press ok.

now look for the proxy settings shortcut on the desktop.

click to open the proxy settings. sometimes it might not work and you need to try again.

proxy hostname = IP address
proxy port = proxy port. *duh*
bypass proxy for... <--leave this blank.

click done.

Added on June 6, 2011, 11:42 pmerm guys, u guys didn't read the step 6 in the instruction? once u have log in to market while connected to proxy, the "cheat" is consider successful.


you can now remove the proxy details so that u have direct connection to internet and still use market! no need to keep going through the proxy :-)

that last bit does not work all the time. so, if u get problems again, use the proxy again. but yes, it will be terribly slow.

btw how to know i install adobe flas player or not ??most website that have flash opens as mobile browser

i go to android market ->my apps can't find adobe flash player
when i search it on market,it says open but then the requested file is not found
.still can't download angry birds.but lucky got .apk but hard to find

strange, I did this 1 time and my market has been working since then. rebooted quite a few time and its still working. Haven't got the need to redo the "cheat" at all yet, hopefully no need la haha

I found out the reason behind why we have to "try our luck" with the proxy we found in hidemyass.com. It is because we are not using HTTPS proxy. In order for market to get connected to google market place, it has to establised a secured connection. I tried to filter out and take only the HTTPS proxy server, one time already success and I am now downloading apps from market without problem.

mydragoon, You might want to update the steps in your first page.

1) Download and use anycut to create shortcut to hidden proxy setting
2) Go to http://hidemyass.com/proxy-list/
3) select only the United States
4) Port(s), select "all ports"
5) Protocol, select ONLY HTTPS
6) Anonymity level, planetlab, speed and connection time, leave it by default or select all.
7) select the highest speed proxy and make sure the IP address is in 3 or 2 digits format. For example: DO NOT select 69.132.96.2 <--- not only 1 digit, it might be error or your honeycomb won't accept it. A good one would be 173.212.227.188
8) Remove your account from pad/tablet from account & sync in settings
9) Run android market, re-enter your account
10) I think you can remove the proxy after this as it is no longer required (after the next update or whenever android market cache is cleared)

safe to buy ma like that?

mainly issues not related to the hardware. example is market access issue. another is the dock availability for the first 200.

hardware, its the lcd bleeding which is a minor issue. the other is the keyboard lag affecting only some website. using different keyboard might help. its like a software issue. other than that... i dun think got any major issues.

i'm still waiting for them to call me too but not sure if they'll call everyone cos maybe some they dont have the serial number? On that day when i paid for the tablet my last 4 digit of the serial was written down. maybe for some they forgotten to write down, that's why they called ? in any case just have to wait, no choice.

Added on June 7, 2011, 7:39 amAlternatively can try pushing the app through the web android market at https://market.android.com from desktop -> transformer by clicking on the install button then choosing the transformer. Works for me. Only tried on desktop, havent tried this from the transformer though.

Guys, i think i found a bug with the stock music player..whenever i remount microsd card, the music player turned full volume in earphone and the volume controller suddenly not working. I only can get it silenced. Anyone can test this with stocked ROM? im running Primordial ROM here..And also I installed soundFX(my ears cannot accept flat sound ) with the song stored on the microsd.

To me all this issue fits a Tribunal case for consumer rights. If they still do not respond or Asus Malaysia still ignoring us on FB, I will lodge a report. I believe everyone deserve some form of compensation .
