I cant seem to get the OTA. Battery full factory reset a few time already.

I like your reply. The pad is useless without apps. Check out this reply from Angeal Nero from Asus FB page "Actually Android is under google,some customer they dun know how to install,actually have to download from Pc,then install by Micro SD Card,i also no professional use android,i just learn two day only."

Reading these posts just gets my blood boiling.
I tried those stupid proxy settings but it just didn't work and it's not supposed to be like this! Getting angry birds just makes me angry.

I wanna root my machine and I follow the guide from here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1106587. I managed to downgrade the version to 8239. After downgraded, restarted, Android keep telling me a lot of processes need to be terminated or force close. Is it a norm?

I'm not sure what u guys doing wrong with the proxy method but 3 of my personal friends all are successful using it on their transformer.

now they all download from market as normal just like me.

try to follow the instruction to the letter , it should work

Need to factory reset you TF. Boot in recovery (volume down and power) wait to have the wipe menu, confirm to wipe your device, let it wipe and reboot and that's ok.

are you guys using 3.1?

i used the anycut method and i managed to find the proxy settings but it just goes directly to manage all applications page

When I press the volume down and power, I saw the volume status keep reducing and then the system ask me want to shutdown or not. Should I respond to it or continue holding both buttons?

Wipe means all the installed apps will be gone, right?

After the wipe, I can proceed to root it?

press back and press the proxy settings again

Sorry you have to turn off your Transformer first. Then press the volume down and power.

Try Google !

press back until u reach home then click the shortcut again, if still fail then try to recreate the shortcut.

1. Download and use anycut to create shortcut to hidden proxy setting
2. Get a us based ip port proxy from hidemyass or just google it
3. Set proxy setting to any proxy you pick
4. Remove your account from pad/tablet from account & sync in settings
5. Run android market, re-enter your account
6. I think you can remove the proxy after this as it is no longer required (after the next update or whenever android market cache is cleared)

these r the exact steps we took. I think the main point to make this successful is step 2 and 4. make sure in step 2 u get a working US proxy (planetlab n codeen proxy will not work)

Added on June 6, 2011, 10:10 pmoh ya, I'm running 3.1 rooted primordial custom rom and my other 3 friends uses 3.1 stock rom. So it should work for any rom.

you can get it from the android market with no issues/errors. try it first.

Thanks, no more error after wipe. Rooting in progress now... but the guideline said 5-10, I have waited for more than 10 mins already, the last line is still showing:

Still haven't see the "#" sign yet.
