Meaning it is the total amount of life insurance I buy for the year, plus total EPF both me and my employer contributed?

Not exactly , its life insurance and your EPF contribution NOT INCUDING the employer's portion

Hello to all,

I have few questions to ask:

a) Previously, I worked for company A and deduct tax through PCB but i leave the company after 8 months. Do can reclaim back from the company A and claim from LHDN.

You can only claim it from LHDN. Another hassle for you is that you got to go back to the company to request the EA form (for the duration of your work).

And if you work with a new company, that means, when filing your income tax, you'll use 2 EA forms.. ie: first ea form is statement for your first 8 months of your income with old company. And another EA form will contain the rest of 4 months statement of your income with the new company.

It is not logic to claim from LHDN since the company A is not submitted the tax (PCB) to LHDN.

Please advice.

Bro - if yr statement is true, then the statement below is true?
Company A deducted PCB from yr salary but didnt pay to LHDN

If so, i think U better call LHDN and bring proof (salary slips with deduction), then get LHDN to check their system whether Company A paid LHDN the deduction yet (assuming several donkey months ago deducted from your salary slip ok?).
I think LHDN will then have a case against Company A.

Just based on past experience where chinaman company deducted from my salary but didnt pay to LHDN and EPF. Other bro & sis, please correct me if i'm in lalaland. Danke

Side note - i've also had 2 EA forms (2 companies) within 1 tax year, no issue. Just make sure the above is cleared-up, especially if Company A refuses to give U your EA form (assuming again, 2011's EA form by Feb/Mar 2012).

as wongmunkeong mentioned, if ur old company has deducted you salary into PCB but the company didn't
actually pay it to lhdn, you can start looking for a lawyer's forum and open a thread there smile.gif

Usually after a company paid the income tax collected from employees to IRB there will be a reference number which the company will compile for the whole year and will pass to all employees together with the EA form. If the company did not make the payment then you have to go after the company and report to IRB about it

Good morning everybody,I been reading the thread from page 1 until here.

I just got some question in my mind now. sad.gif , Appreciate it if anyone could assist me. sad.gif

Right now I working with 1 company and my basic salary is RM 2,200 and fixed allowance is RM 400 = RM 2,600. I am paying EPF and socso for this company A. Then got a company B I been working as part time as a favor by helping them,they giving me a random salary every month, like November giving me RM 1,000,then December RM 1,400,then January RM 2,000. So sometimes this company B paying the salary to me is not fixed and this company I didn't contribute EPF and socso as I only part time.

Then salary became like this ..

November 2011 : RM 2,600 + RM 1,000 = RM 3,600
December 2011 : RM 2,600 + RM 1,400 = RM 4,000
January 2012 : RM 2,600 + RM 2,000 = RM 4,600

I think the figure sure reach around RM 3,500 every month, now I afraid sweat.gif

So right now do I need to declare income tax or what rclxub.gif. FYI I don't have EA form with me because I been keep on changing job for better pay and allowance.

Anybody can tell me what to do ? notworthy.gif
