I just called up Customer Service requesting my usual annual fee waiver(which I have been doing for 11 years), they told me, under new business/company direction starting August 2012, they will only use the ChoicePoints to waive the annual fee.
So, no more calling up to request for annual fee waiver for free... cry.gif
Not sure if this is an isolate case though... Since I only use my Classic card for insurance auto-debits.

huh? blink.gif
but I got a call from the agent that handles my application yesterday and he never mentioned anything about it.
I even asked him, after 2 years, how to get AF waiver and he said as long as customer is a good paymaster, then we may just call and request waiver.
So, what's true?

Cross-Border Charges with SCB Credit Card
1. Apple Online Store Malaysia
2. LivingSocial Malaysia [0.8%]

I just saw that SCB charges Cross-Border charge of 0.8% for the purchase of LivingSocial Malaysia coupon (in RM)

Same thing happened to me when I purchase from Apple Online Store. Imagine paying almost RM40 for nothing! I called SCB ask them to waive the charge they say cannot. In the end I called Apple Online Support they say they will absorb the cost and refund the 0.8% to me. This is what good service is about. thumbup.gif

My Business Platinum had just been approved today. The agent told me my credit limit is RM33000. Anyone get this high?

And it will increase further next year depending on your usage.

I got mine with 43k on the first year, and automatically upped to 54k on 2nd year till now (3years or so). Not sure why they want to risk it. My other cards only gave me about 20k or so. My annual income plus bonuses also less than 54k after minus EPF and Income Tax.

Just called to cancel today... I think same like everyone, was offered RM100 (50 for GST, 50 for candy laugh.gif) but I declined straightaway. Was hoping for more... now just stick with my OCBC enough la. Maybe will scout other cards with higher groceries cash back as now got two kids and spending quite a big sum on milk and diapers.
