Price Solution called and insisted that I have to keep the card for at least a year before they can process the application.

i applied for gold after getting platinum. They want me keep the newly applied cards for 1yr.

All cards annual fee waived for first 2 years during campaign.

5 cards in a envelope reached my hand. No approval sms at all.

Peter, some banks are skeptical in accepting new cc applicants with no credit history. Person like you, never had any loans, existing cc is an unknown risk to banks. Either you fulfill what they need or try harder in other banks. After that, you should have no problem in applying more cc.
