never been possible, and i doubt they will ever do it.

bluray bdmv/iso - yes, full menu... this, most other boxes won't give u.

current v8.1.93 is fine.

Also 2.0.7 fw got some prob with subtitles. On and off certain lines will go missing throughout the movie. Can you check if 2.0.8 fw already fixed the problem. Thanks.

This astrogo fix is good.

The hd channels come out v good, upscaled by 4k tv and/or 4k avr too.

I believe this overdue fix is also meant for legit iptv in vietnam, singapore n thailand.

it doesn't work like that.
u need google playstore and google playservices together.
they come with the firmware.
if playstore is not working, something is wrong with the installation of the firmware.
to reinstate that, best to flash the box, reinstall current firmware 2.0.7 or 2.0.6.
then u log in with gmail id/pw to get full google apps - playstore, youtube, chrome.
if u bought the box locally, contact yr seller for help if not sure how to DIY.
i'm curious.. what is that for?
*
I contacted my seller and he told me to do a factory reset, which I did and it worked. After factory reset and I clicked Play Store, it prompted me to enter my Google account and password.

Then I removed my Google account in Settings and wanted to add another Google account. It won't allow me to add. Nothing happens when I click Add Account and Google Play Store won't open like before the factory reset.

Wonder what is the issue?

Since I already did a factory reset and re-installed all my APK files, I really don't want to do another factory reset to change the Google account.

Stick to one google account.
Now, no choice but to reset again.

But... before u do that, check settings... what firmware u hv after reset?
This is impt to upgrade to newer firmware later.
If u hv first gen 1.x.x it is android5.
U will eventually want to go, in steps, to current 2.0.8, android7.
That process, u will again have to reinstall the apps at some point.

Android Version : 7.0
Firmware is 2.0.6 2017-10-25.164125

When I click Update, it says I already have the latest. Should I install 2.0.8 from futeko.com? If install 2.0.8, is it like a factory reset where I have to reinstall all apps again? Thanks!

assuming u r now on 206 and have installed all yr own apps...

u can update to 208 from there with file from futeko using local update feature.

it shud be fine, yr apps should remain, unless there is one or more funky/problematic troublemaker app(s).

i do not know this box but it should be 3-4 years old, android5, rockchip.

likely a "china" model, obsolete - as it does not appear in the int'l firmware list:
http://www.himediatech.com/support.htm

my advice to u... in future, buy only Q series which is flagship and has gone int'l.

current is q10pro/q5pro... i expect them to be around for a while longer as there is no new model pending, afaik.

2.08 with Astro on the go did not work as well for me especially for live broadcasts (football). Streaming was blocky and resolution was not as good. The q10 pro was hardwired with 100Mbps line. At least it worked...but not sure why it was so bad. I did try other shows and while the resolution on HD programs was good but there was a lag on the audio and movement was choppy.

I have been researching this. I found out this box can actually display DVD Menus. Just that the people who did the default media player software don't know how to or not bothered about it.

If want to display DVD menus, must disable the wrapper for Kodi then run Kodi and play the DVD folder (didn't try with DVD iso) using Kodi own player.

No auto play. Must manually go into video_ts folder and play the video_ts.ifo file. The menus will appear and can select and play from the menus.

I have some DVD concerts and karaoke DVD that can't get on blurays. For music the menu is very important to navigate and select the songs.

Bought a Himedia Q10 pro from the PJ digital mall seller CCS221 late 2016. Then realized the android TV box stopped working sometime early 2017, just slightly over a year of very light usage. When i try to turn on, only the white ring led is on, but cannot boot into the machine. Brought it back to the shop, they said will send it back to china. Sadly, since it's just like a couple of months over the 1 year period, no more warranty. Was told motherboard error, and the cost of fixing it is the same cost of buying a new one. Lesson learnt, himedia product are not durable and maybe avoid buying the higher end units. If it's the cheaper unit, then rosak also minimal lost. The Q10 pro cost me like RM 680 and just total lost right after one year.

Sorry bro.. console.gif That's the risk we all have to take with such products. Personally, never had issues with all the boxes I've had over the years.. Knocks on wood that current Minix still rocks on till I'm willing to let go.
