how and where can i run this test?

i apply for 4M but the person from 100 says that my place is not supported..

But the technician say that they have install it before for my area.

Where can I check whether my place can supported 4M or not?

And where/how can I upgrade my port?

Thx...

dvinez : Depends on people's SNR margin and attentuation
Actually,my SNR margin for DL is 3.0 only
Still so far my line is super stable and can achieve 4mbps+

Just proceed to TM point and apply for the package. Even if the TM point checks in their system and says can't just request the tech come to your house to test.

the tech will use his account on your phone line and do a speed test, if ok , you will be upgraded.

I am asking if my line would be able to support 4mbps since my attenuation is quite high. biggrin.gif

Btw, go to speedtest.net and do a speedtest and post your result here. Only then we can tell if you're getting your subscribed speed.

Just got my 4MBps line installed yesterday. Speedtest, direct downloads, extremely superb. But what i don't understand is that why my torrents are moving super slow. Most the most speed i can get on my torrent last night is somewhere around 40KBps. Is TM blocking torrent access on strimix now, or is it because most of the torrent bandwidth now goes to Unifi users?

Try use torrific.com for your torrent download
Just fetch your torrent file there and download from the server at full speed

I've used 1mbps, 2mbps and 4mbps before. 2mbps speed in kilobytes is around 250kbps+ sometimes with IDM it shoots to 270kbps+ but will always be stable around 250+ what I did when I was sharing line, I'd limit my download speed per download about 75kbps so that other users in my house can surf internet without lag. Btw the pricing if I'm not mistaken

Hmm I doubt it will be of much help, although the cap is raised, your line can only attain to what it can achieve. They usually only increase it if you're speedtest in speedtest.tm.net.my below 80% of your package which is 3.2 that you're getting, like 2.9 or 2.7.
