Streamyx 4 Mbps is much cheaper with blockbuster package For more info refer to this website http://www.streamyx.comThey are few tips getting 4.0 Mbps to your house, ask the technician to come to your house and check ur line capability ( Sometimes TM.Nut won't entertain this ) But i managed to fix 4.0 Mbps even though my house is not in their System for 4.0 Mbps. This will take a lot of effort for them to do it. Do remember u mess be less than 2km from DSLAM to support 4.0 Mbps otherwise it won't work. They will check your ADSL status latency aka SNR Margin to confirm your line support or not. QUOTE(Matrix @ Apr 17 2011, 06:10 PM) Yep, using for one year oready...excellent deal...especially if you have relatives outstation...my wife use it to call back to Sabah...FOC...haha! Agreed with you so far so good free calls sum more :-) however the upload is quite slow at 512kbps for 4 Mbps combo and the speed between VIP 5 for Unifi is not much different it doesn't comes with iptv and the upload speed is not 5 Mbps . However the data transfer is unlimited compare to VIP 5 . If u wish to go at high speed upload at 5 Mbps pls take Biz5 Unifi but it doesn't come with IPTV. My personal view i don't need iptv since i already have astro beyond. Compare to unlimited data transfer for Biz5 u don't need local content anymore . Biz5 charged for calls for fix line calls

QUOTE(GenericMav @ Apr 22 2011, 05:19 AM) may i know whats the average download speed you guys get with 2mbps package? You should be capped at 2048 kbps at the modem or if u lucky capped at 3024kbps so u can enjoy full speed of 2 Mbps :-) so download rate is around 200 kB/sec to 220

QUOTE(Chyan @ May 21 2011, 08:37 PM) I'm guessing I'll get 5120Kbps downstream for my 4Mbps soon if the new tower lines are established. From a friend, he said that his condo is FiOS0ed for his Streamyx. Therefore he gotten 10240Kbps downstream for his 4Mbps. Maybe his situation is an exception. VADSL+ Cool :-)

QUOTE(AjkR06 @ May 27 2011, 05:37 PM) From what I know, load balancer can be used to combine the 2 Wan lines into one single high speed line. Like what MX do, maybe he subscribed for two 4Mbps lines, and he combine it with load balancer, so in average, he will get about 7-8Mbps internet connection. It's better if u asked MX itself about the load balancer things since he already succeed to make it Added on May 27, 2011, 5:39 pmJust my though only based on his screenshots that shown Linksys Load Balancer web settings... Well explained :-) i got 2 lines at home with 4 Mps and each of them capped at 5120kbps each so i use the Linksys RV042 load balancer to combine them . The speed in the screenshot is based on ftp connections that connected on parallel connections on 2 WAN ip . That is why i can reach max out 1 MB/sec which is equall for 8 to 10 Mbps . I could finish 4.5 GB in 1 hour . Using 2 x 4 Mbps is much cheaper RM 280 compare using Biz10 which is RM 599 . It's unlimited download bro we don't do much upload :-)

QUOTE(jimpaull @ Jun 4 2011, 08:40 AM) This is probably old news for most but I thought I'd share how I got a free Innacomm W3400V Wireless Modem and RM20 per month from TM. I signed up for the 4Mbps Streamyx Combo pack back in May 2009 (RM160 internet/phone) and am extremely happy with the package. I get good speed/ping for my needs; Warcraft/torrents/surfing. I really didn't want to deal with the hassle of dealing with TM so I put off doing this for a long time: What I did is finally went down to TM office and turned my Combo package into their BB deal 4Mbps. It's just a matter of paperwork to do it, and an hour wait. They will set everything up for you and a week later the TM tech came over with my modem. I stopped him at the door and said everything was fine and just took the modem, it's still in the box. The only thing I didn't get was the free cordless phone, which they said was only for a new installation (that's ok because it's an ugly phone.) So if you're still on the Combo pack, save yourself some money and sign up for the BB deal. Yeah this is what i did u can still save RM 20 per month hehehe from the existing package RM 160 to RM 140 per month
