Got a question to you guys with 4 Mbps connections, are you actually able to get full 4 Mbps downstream from international links assuming the link is not capping your speed? Someone told me that Streamyx caps international bandwidth by 50% so you only get full speed from local connections.

Then you might as well subscribe to UNIFI since the price is very similiar.

And forget about the 60 GB CAP ,its not implemented yet. Just get UNIFI for now.

A question for those who got 4 MBPS , I plan to upgrade to 4 mb too but I am way too lazy ( and busy ) to goto TM point, and to queue up and do all the hassling procedure .

Can I just upgrade to 4 MB via phone call?

If I am not mistaken, you need to fill up the application form. Not sure if you can do it with a phone call.

Lol you should ask TM not us. Unifi is fibre optic and 4mbps is still using copper lines. Your house probably more than 3km from the exchange.

12H4M: maybe their server haven't update your account? normally technician will in charge for setting up the port only, other than that is TM site, or u go to nearest TM point...
*
OK will try that, thanks biggrin.gif ...why can't they just synchronise the system to make it easier for us...everthing & everyone in TM seems to be segregated..

If OFF and ON the modem/router also cannot get 4mbps, then you better call 100 to complain.
Tell them your installer log in with their id can get 4mbps but your id log in still cannot get 4mbps.
*
Yup will call them again...i wont be suprise if they said to call back the installer like before... rclxub.gif

I think you can becoz one time a guy from TM call me up to offer me an upgrade from 2mb to 4mb via phone...as long as it's not a new streamyx application I think you can do it thru phone...

I think this is LEASED LINE connection...
Because the ISP is different... TMNET.. not Telekom Malaysia Berhad
But both of them are still under TM...
