QUOTE(12H4M @ May 13 2011, 08:27 PM) Just sharing my experience: Why don't you try shutting down your modem and router and ON it back, log in and see if you get the 4mbps speed?I've upgraded mine from 2mb to 4mb..technician came in last monday & tested using his id & all works fine..but as usual he said need to wait 3 days for my speed to be like that so I waited...now its already friday & still my speed is the same (1.85-2 mbps)...already called TM & told me I need to contact the technician who installed the upgrade..already called him & he said all should be fine coz probably id problem??..if id problem why TM told me my account already upgraded since 6/5/2011?..for them everything is assumed succesful when the technician tested it but using HIS ID..not mine..this shouldn't be so as success rate should only be given when I as the customer successfully upgraded using MY ID..I bet my charges already started as a 4mb user even before I got my right as a 4mb user.. Now (as usual) it's a "waiting + ping pong" game between me, TM & technician..guess who's winning???... |

QUOTE(12H4M @ May 13 2011, 09:52 PM) you mean just turning it off & on again?..yup been doing that for the last few days.....mine is the ZyXEL model & auto login.. If OFF and ON the modem/router also cannot get 4mbps, then you better call 100 to complain. Tell them your installer log in with their id can get 4mbps but your id log in still cannot get 4mbps. |

QUOTE(xanxanlol @ May 17 2011, 11:35 AM) Got a question to you guys with 4 Mbps connections, are you actually able to get full 4 Mbps downstream from international links assuming the link is not capping your speed? Someone told me that Streamyx caps international bandwidth by 50% so you only get full speed from local connections. I get around 4Mbps from international download sites. |

If I am not mistaken, you need to fill up the application form. Not sure if you can do it with a phone call.

Hahaha, there are processes in TM too.
They have to update your billing record first before they let you use the 4Mbps connection. They don't want to bill you 512K connection while you enjoy your 4Mbps connection. |

No. You go to TMPoint, sit down with them and clear up the billing issue.
You ask them why still got the RM28 charge when it is on Blockbuster Deal. |

QUOTE(Remedy @ May 31 2011, 10:24 PM) Guys need some advise... When you say a new direct line from outside, which outside?I have a really weird situation.. I am in the process of upgrading my line to 4mbps. Called tm and they said my area can support 4mbps. So they send the technician over to my house.. he tested and say my line is having big issue SNR downstream is 6db while upstream is 28db. Attenuation 44 Max kbps is ~3200kbps only even though the technician said he has opened up to 5mbps for me at the beginning he said could be my house parallel phone lines or looping issue.. so i called tm next day and have them cut and drag a direct line straight from outside to my modem. (this should guarantee best quality right?) UNFORTUNATELY the issue didn't improve a bit... my downstream SNR is still 6db only... any suggestions what i should do ? what could be the potential problem? the exchange side ? i ran out of ideas.. Outside of your house to the modem or from the tiang to your modem? |

Try switch OFF and ON your modem again.
If still cannot get 4Mbps, you need to call 100 to report the problem to them. |

Maybe they have not process your order yet.
If they have, they will do something first at the exchange, then only come to your house to test it out. I don't know whether you can just submit the form at the reception. Usually we have to take a number and sit down with the officier who will input your application into their system. Once completed, they will print out your upgrade order confirmation slip and give it to you. |
