Now that you mention it, i'm also on SP1 and can watch ch.322 (inb4 Astro people see this)

mine is super pack 2 works ch 322 can be watch other ch 3xx forget also can watch chines channel few can be watch
but i not add new emperor
how come can be watch its free right

I sometimes unplug mine as well, when I turn the power back , it will boot about 2 minutes and then its back to normal service again.

Saw the advertisement for the Malaysian national team friendly matches against the EPL clubs on the HD channels..also on SD channels..

I would assume that this all but confirms that the matches will be in HD and probably on ASSP HD 2..their tagline is STADIUM ASTR: LIVE IT:LIVE

2. Yes! it is not necessary, but you are not able to record up to two channels at one time and watch the current programme!!

Jun 16, 11 9:59amKongsi 51Notis mengenai kenaikan bayaran perkhidmatan yang dikeluarkan oleh Astro kepada pelanggannya dianggap tidak sah kerana tidak mendapat kebenaran dari Suruhanjaya Komunikasi dan Multimedia Malaysia (SKMM) terlebih dahulu, kata Menteri Penerangan Komunikasi dan Kebudayaan, Datuk Seri Rais Yatim.

"Bayaran perkhidmatan asas yang dikenakan oleh Astro kepada pelanggan sekarang tidak akan diubah, apa-apa pertambahan Astro perlu berunding dahulu dengan SKMM sebelum memutuskan untuk menaikkan caj perkhidmatan mereka," katanya.

Astro perlu mendapat kelulusan dari SKMM sebelum menaikkan harga perkhidmatan saluran televisyen berbayar mereka, kata Rais.

Kementerian akan berbincang dengan Astro mengenai isu tersebut, kata beliau kepada pemberita selepas menghadiri Malam Penghargaan Industri Filem 2011 anjuran Perbadanan Kemajuan Filem Nasional Malaysia (Finas) di Petaling Jaya, malam semalam.

Turut hadir ialah Ketua Pengarah Finas Mohd Mahyidin Mustakim.

Astro baru-baru ini mengumumkan bahawa mereka akan melakukan pelarasan terhadap pakej yang ditawarkan berkuatkuasa 11 Julai ini dengan harga langganan diselaraskan bergantung kepada pakej pilihan pelanggan.

Sesetengah pelanggan mungkin mengalami kenaikan sekitar RM1 hingga RM15 sebulan, manakala yang lain pula akan menikmati penjimatan RM4 hingga RM14.95 sebulan.
Lets watch what unfolds........ if only they can make Astro turn back !

You are right, Astro never LOST since 1996!! Packages hv changed asto has implemented the matter and as though astro does not know it has to get SKM approval ! Having done so many favours for the govt astro knows it wl get away !

Who is able to use the recording function of normal byond set with external HDD after change it to superpack package?

Assthrow never fail to surprise us.....

Now my package basic, sports n two mini, is it worth to upgrade to sp1... Can the sp1 mustika i want to change with metro

I'm using Byond PVR with internal HDD and 2 tuners..
Based on my simple "experiment" just now..,
Without 2 cable be feed into both of it's tuners,
the decoder will always show SERVICES CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE.. Even the clock will reset to 00:00 which means no signal can be captured by the tuners...
You're forced to feed it with dual wire...
That's why when u change to Byond PVR, astro will also change your LNB to dual-output...

I don't encounter any power issue with PVR...
In fact, it has served me very well and next week will be it's first anniversary being at my home

As for me, I just turned off the PVR at night, when I'm going to sleep, except if i'm planning to record something which on-air at the middle of night,
for the daytime, I just leave it on standby mode when I'm not using it.

Actually, the reason Astro advice their subscribers to not power off the PVR is to receive the automatic update from their side. Like software upgrade, EPG update etc etc..

I just converted my package to SP1..I'm using the normal beyond set and yesterday i tried to connect my WD Passport 320Gb but the decoder failed to detect the HDD..NEED HELP!
