Surf from your mobile phone and log on to any social network site, listen to music, watch videos, play online games, blog, email… Do it all… the possibilities don't end!

We will also give you free 100 mins of talk time and 30 sms's to anyone anywhere in Malaysia. Now that's what we call TRUE VALUE!

RM28 per month!
there's a catch...
u its RM28+10
cause u need to reload RM10 for the phone line validity of 30days
or another option reload RM30 for 90days validity

after all of that
its still the cheapest there is and there's 100 free minutes and 30sms free
on top of that... RM10 credit available:)

http://u.com.my/prepaid-packages/unlimited-mobile-internet

Plan Features:

Unlimited Mobile Internet
100 minutes nationwide calls
30 SMS
Hassel-free auto-renewal
Prepaid convenience with no contract and commitment

There's more!

Unused balance can be rolled over!

The unused free minutes and SMS from the previous subscription will be carried forward to the next month. You may carry forward up to 100 mins and 30 SMS.
NOTE*max i think its 200mins and 60smses tat can be allowed to be rolled over*

How to subscribe?

STEP 1 - Dial *118#
STEP 2 - Select 3 for ‘Unlimited Mobile Internet’
STEP 3 - Select 1 to confirm your subscription
To check your balance and/or validity date

Dial: *118# → Select: ‘Unlimited Mobile Internet’ → Select: ‘Check Balance’

Important

Availability of sufficient credit (RM28) in order to subscribe to this bundle.
NOTE*must have RM28 in credit balance*
Unlimited Mobile Internet is available for browsing within Malaysia only. Speed may vary depending on the coverage area and handset device.

Data Roaming must be manually switched on in your phone settings to start enjoying the data facility.

GO CHECK IT OUT!:)
========================================================================
There were people who asked about checking

DATA USAGE CHECKING

on the faqs
Link here
number - 15
How can I check my data allowance usage?
You may check your balance by dialing *118# on your mobile phone. Select "U Broadband", and then select "Check Usage".
Alternatively, subscriber may send a SMS by typing in "DATA" and send to 28118

Thanks for wcypierre's HELP on highlighting this to me

How to check the quota used on UMI(18/28/38/48)
NOTE: Before we start, do note that there is a charge of RM 0.05(5 cent) for this checking service
1. Type "Data"(without the quotes) and send it to 28188
2. It will show you your current data plan(UMI 18/28/38 or 48), quota used(current usage) and your total quota.

p/s: "data"(without the quotes) works as well, but by default in our keyboard application the first letter is a capital letter which works as well so why waste more energy to do the same thing? laugh.gif

UPDATES!!!! 17 July 2013 - Sorry for the delay and since my first post UM has already unleashed afew more different plans for PREPAID USER's NEEDS! GOOD FOR US CONSUMERS

who wouldnt love UMOBILE right? Its a combination of many kinds and best of all... the best plan is less than RM50
No extra charges as its Prepaid is the one good thing as compared to other telcos where advertised it may be RM50 only but when the bill comes its RM53? not when youre using Prepaid! and UM has one of the most promising deals
of all telcos!

KAKAO TALK AND WECHAT SPECIAL!!!!

user posted image
Kakao Talk is available for free on UMI 28, UMI 38 and UMI 48 subscriptions.

WOOHHH how good is this? it says its free!
Kakao talk is one of the newer app on the mobile now
its sort of a mixture of Viber + whatsapp! good eh? and there are some cute features when i first used this app.
example u can make your voice change to afew modes when u talk on kakaotalk!

user posted image
WeChat is available for free on UMI 28, UMI 38 and UMI 48 subscriptions.
Another substitute too those social apps out there
i have to admit i kind of like this app
Have been using it on my Iphone4 and it is SMOOTH AS SILK when compared to whatsapp!

u guys can reload any amount any time, however if you reload rm10~rm29, validity is 30days and bonus is 10% of the reload amount

and reload amount of rm30 and above ( validity 90 days ) will entitle for 15% reload bonus of the reload, rm50 and above validity is 150 days

you guys can actually BUY flexi e reload to suit your needs because of the reload bonus will be added into your reload amount after abt 60 mins of the reload

to buy flexi e-reload you guys can go to any UM Dealer , 7/11 dun sell Flexi E-Reload, or u guys can PM me to buy thumbup.gif

validity simply means u can make calls/sms during tat period also know as "active" period eg: maxis rm30 only gives u 30 days validity and celcom rm10 gives you 7 days validity

I also tot 180kBps.

180kbps = about 20kBps.

Q1=Anyway, does UM2G roaming on celcom network apply to UMobile broadband RM10/month for 100Mbs? or Can iPhone 2G use the RM10/month package?
http://u.com.my/broadband/plans

Service is available in U's 3G/HSDPA coverage area only. Data allowance includes combined upload & download data transfer. Actual speed and data capacity achieved vary depending on factors e.g. device/equipment used, location and network traffic at the time of use. Non-data use (voice calls, SMS/MMS, content, roaming and international call services) is subject to extra charge. Fair Use Policy applies. Excess charges of 5sen/MB apply if the data allowance is exceeded.

Q2=And; if i subscribe for RM10/30days, but my prepaid validity end on day 20, can I still use the broadband for the last 10 days?

Q3= If using iPhone 2G, can still get the 12sen rate on a 3G network? -noob question sweat.gif

q1. unfortunately no; but rm28 package for 500MB (Quota) yes, can roam to UM2G

q2. you can use your internet for the last 10 days, even you can't make call out due to passive state, but given the fact that RM10 for 30 days, you may as well ended up full active in the whole 30 days,
simple word, yes you can use the internet if you purchase to UB plan

q3. if you referring to call rates, unfortunately no 12sen, only calls made within UM3G and via 3G phones are eligible of 12sen rate, you will be a double beep after you made the call, so you know it is a 12sen rate.

So what is "FUP Quota" means exactly?
*
It means that the Fair Usage Policy. If people use over the quota, their speed will be slowed down.

In this package which I am using now, the throttled speed is about 0.05mbps after exceeding 500MB with no prior warning at all.

Based on my experience, it might be sufficient if you talk normally.

However, the ping is more than 120 like that.

If celcom line is there you can roam it with U mobile sim card, but you have to manually create the access point for celcom and it is only 2G speed only.

i think is a lot better than digi. with digi last time i only get 1 bar downstairs, but umobile gives me full bar (2G), while 3G is halved in my area (subang jaya)

i went to ulu yam last 2 weeks, the signal changed to celcom and i only got 2G for internet most of the time. and got some areas gave me GPRS lol. so far im satisfied! smile.gif

Indeed. I still can live on with the speed although i hope that 128kbps would be better.

The best part in this plan is that all of the freebies calls and sms are for all network. rclxm9.gif

Been using it for nearly a month now with my Dell Streak.

The coverage, in Cyberjaya , is okay. Once i am in the building, the signal drops to only 1 bar, however at certain spots, there wouldn't be any signal at all, and thus it'll auto roam to celcom, which is no issue.

Google maps works flawlessly with the broadband plan and most of my other internet dependent apps work without any hiccups. Definitely would be staying with Umobile.

Alor Star does not have 3G signal for the U mobile. cry.gif

You should be able to surf all the site, but the throttling speed is very slow. blush.gif

Yes.. I at Kuching.. Using Celcom signal, on EDGE speed.. So far so good. I'm just using it for mobile phone purpose only.

I must say it is the cheapest mobile internet plan around in the market, bundle with voice minutes and sms.

for supp. line ( meaning postpaid ) you hav to settle the latest bill first b4 submitting for MNP
for main line, all your supp line must port together or you terminate your supp line at maxis but i would advice tat you MNP all of them together as i hav one MNP of a user rejected due to this situation

you can MNP fr Postpaid (other celcos) to UM Prepaid thumbup.gif

documents include, your IC ( crossed with " for MNP to Umobile only" ), your lastest paid bill , and fill up the MNP form which i will send to you via PM/email

you only nid to scan those documents and email back to me

you just nid to MB2U me rm5.00 for the blank sim ( which hav a credit of rm5.00 preloaded) and rm3.00 for poslaju + minimum rm30.00 e reload

this is a free service as UM dun giv me any commission for MNP, just incentive which is very merge sweat.gif

hope you guys understand this

thanks

not timer la bro, it literally means tat you are using a 3G fon and in UM3G coverage and your calls will be charged at 0.06 cents per block (30 secs ) freaking cheap huh? but only on a 3G fon in UM3G coverage thumbup.gif

Their term of unlimited is like this:

You get very good speed before 500MB. After using more than 500MB, you will have less than 100kbps to surf under the RM28/month package.

That is how it works. wink.gif

That is how they still can provide "unlimited" services for the package. doh.gif

Anyway, does the free voice calls applicable to landlines? I suppose it is also free right?

Under the Rm28/month package, the calls to any telcos would be free if freebies are available. Even if you are in celcom roaming area.

when you subscribe to an ISP and use its service OUTSIDE the coverage area, it is call roaming. Usually roaming could be used overseas as well if the telco have agreement to share their network to certain subscribers.

In overseas roaming usually the bills is shockingly high.

In the U mobile case, as long as the freebies are available, no charges will be made for the calls and sms only although they are being made to other telcos number for now. (no freebies for the MMS under the Rm28 plan)

Digi's speed is not that good, but for me, it is quite consistent and it has the best upload speed among the Malaysian wireless ISP.

I hope that the U mobile network won't be clogged as a result of the RM28/month package.

I got Question about the 100 minutes free call...

I just notice...when u make a call...while its ringging...The Timer counter is already counting...Will it minus the 100 minutes even if the person on the other side is did not answer?

Coz i noticed last time...before i port to umobile, the counter only starts when people pick up your call...

Can anyone confirm this?

if you guys are on UM voice, i can say no worries as when there is no UM3G coverage, u will roam on Celcom 2G voice, hence no interruption, even SMS also no problem

BUT if on Internet, where there is no UM3G signal available u will roam on Celcom Edge/GPRS (Celcom 2G)

overall, its value for money especially on the internet usage, even DG's smart plan is not so "smart" after all biggrin.gif

I am with Maxis now, If I want to MNP to Umobile Prepaid, what happen to my deposit with Maxis? I claim from them separately or?
*
easiest way is

go to maxis and settle your account on the spot with the deposit and then convert your postpaid into a prepaid on the spot

your new maxis prepaid will be activated in abt 30mins

then use up your maxis prepaid credit ( preloaded rm4.00) then MNP to UM

simple and fast too

PM me if u need to MNP to UM

Good Suggestion thumbup.gif , btw after I change plan to Maxis, is there any T&R like I need to use for at least how many months?

And is there T&R if I MNP to Umobile?

What is the different between flexi e reload and normal reload? flex.gif

Sorry for all the noob questions, I am a postpaid user for the past 5 years sweat.gif .

Both, as in like can I use Maxis Prepaid for 1 day, then MNP to UMobile.

If I not satisfy with the U Mobile service, can I MNP to another Telco again? is there any minimum period?

Hmm just MNP to Umobile. Maybank TAC cannot receive .. called up U mobile, they said it's Maybank problem... Re-register the number at ATM already, still cannot receive. Haih.

But how come when I use the same number with Maxis and celcom no problem , only with U mobile?

ANyone got any solution to this?

On RM28 prepaid data plan, if the 500MB quickly used up say, last few days, can we pay for less than another RM28 to get full speed service again?

If you think that you gonna use up 500MB very quickly, you should consider about getting RM40 package as it is unlimited quota ald.

question: if within a month i use up the free 100mins and top up, will the broadband be extended to two months?

Yup, the broadband can auto renew by themselves.

RM40 for unlimited quota? which package would that be?

I only saw UB40/MB40 which is 2G, but it's more for Wireless Broadband/PostPaid.

I am also not in U mobile and i can check the U Mobile easy menu for more information.

Voice can be used, but EDGE would be dependent on the package. So far, I am a happy user of RM28/month unlimited internet per month.

It is clearly stated that after the quota has been breached, the speed is 64kbps. The information can be obtained through this PAGE under the FAQs

I'm in PJ Sec 14. Just subjectively, late evening and night seems pretty good, definitely instantaneous compared to Edge. Seldom any problem but occasionally drops and restarts to Edge while indoors. Icon rotates H to 3G to E.

Worth trying!

What happens to my unused voice minutes and sms when the subscription automatically renews?

Your unused balance will be rolled over to your new bundle along with a new validity date, however the entire bundle can only withhold 200 mins and 60 sms at any point in time. Any excess of which will be forfeited.

for your guys tat wanna MNP to UM, the 15% reload bonus is still applicable for July till further notice, meaning if you topup rm30, you will get rm34.50 instead, it can be use to buy broadband or the rm28 package, unlike DiGi's birthday bonus which dun hav actual "cash" value, only talktime and sms value icon_idea.gif

Hi, for the Umobile Prepaid. If I don't want to subscribe to the Unlimited Prepaid package, how is the charges? From Umobile website, it states for postpaid users, it is RM0.05/MB, but for prepaid users how much?

this is what I'm actually figuring out, we actually paying more cause its like

u reload RM 30, minus RM28
u left RM2, this amount sure not enough for talk time plus sms, so we reload another RM30 perhaps? (or RM10 for the light user)
so we ended up paying RM60

for rm28/mth, the users hav to topup rm30 ( cause tat entitles for 15% reload bonus) and this gives the simcard a Active validity of 90 days

for a rm10 topup, the simcard will hav an Active validity of 30 days

meaning if u are subscribed to the rm28 package, u dun need to worry the shortage of validity cause the rm30 topup qualifys u for 90 days validity

Only UM gives u 3X the active validity period for topup icon_idea.gif

for maxis, celcom and digi a rm30 topup give u 30 days active validity

i hav been using unlimited plan for 1 month+.
i hav been used it in several area and my conclusion is

JB-very good coverage, good download n upload speeds
Serdang- good outdoor coverage but poor indoor coverage. poor upload speed
KL area- good coverage both indoor n outdoor

1 downside is lack of coverage in melaka n seremban highway to jb =.=

UM can only get better for us cause its partly foreign owned like Digi icon_idea.gif

DiGi is much better than the other 2 other celcos interms of customer satisfaction.........just try to call their individual CSO, which is the best? maxis charge u via 1300820120 and celcom CSO read from a manual book when replying, just like dummies

UM can only get better for us cause its partly foreign owned like Digi icon_idea.gif

DiGi is much better than the other 2 other celcos interms of customer satisfaction.........just try to call their individual CSO, which is the best? maxis charge u via 1300820120 and celcom CSO read from a manual book when replying, just like dummies

just brought a starter pack, try the 5sen/MB mobile internet.
data roaming (EDGE) is slow and speed is not stable, maximum 9-10kB/s...
using it own UMOBILE3G, not stable also, 12-40kB/s.
sungai nibong, penang area.

the call rate is 9sen/30sec, mean is 18sen/min.

Added on July 23, 2011, 8:13 pmthe roaming is not stable, most of the time will get GPRS, hard to get EDGE.
just notice that when i manually select the network, DiGi is not appear on the list.
but unable to log in to umobile2G, izit the umobile2G is DiGi network?

hopefully the mobile internet promotion still be continued. Just afraid that they will withdrawn or increase the price of the package once they gt enuf customer base.

Actually most ppl go for um now because of two reasons, first one for the mobile internet package which bundle with voice and sms, second one is going for the free call.

However, just to share here that for those who subscribe to mobile internet, the free call promotion actually does not benefit much for them as the call usage will be deducted from the 100mins first.

I was in SG with my UM just before roaming change announced. cry.gif Plenty of public phones in Sg so calls are not a strain. Only now, what is the UM rate? It might be as high per call as roaming?

Getting wifi was my main problem. Even a subscription to Wireless@SG doesn't work because of poor coverage in HDB. I wonder if the RM28 works on roaming there?

111

PS: Of interest to some..... remember that the RM28 is prepaid. the RM40 is only available on a plan.

I'm currently roaming on celcom2g network. My location at Sarawak.

I did exactly what u did. Can use to surf internet using browser, but very slow (slow compare to when I put the same simcard into Nokia phone to surf using using U Mobile Internet APN). And also, can't connect to whatsapp and facebook.

How to set the setting to celcom mms? By default the MNC code is 18, I can't change to 19. Below are the setting I used but still failed to connect.

Phone: HTC Desire HD (android)
Network: roaming on Celcom (umobile2g visible in this list of networks, but I can't choose umobile2g, if I try to choose umobile2g, error msg returned was "you have no access to this network")
Internet Plan: U Mobile unlimited internet

Called up u mobile customer service @ 1318, they confirmed that the ordinary U Mobile setting is correct.

Name : U Mobile Internet
APN : my3g
MCC : 502
MNC : 18
APN type : default,hipri

Name : U Mobile Wap
APN : my3g
Proxy: 10.30.5.11
Port: 8080
MCC : 502
MNC : 18
APN type : default (should be httpproxy, but in order for me to surf internet, I changed this to default)
By using this setting , I can surf using browser, but the speed is significantly slower (slower than the ordinary GPRS speed). Also, I can't use whastapp or facebook application if I use this APN setting

Name : Celcom 2G Internet
APN : celcom.net.my
MCC : 502
MNC : 18 (supposed to be 19, but I can't change this)
APN type : default

Name : Celcom 2G MMS
APN : mms.celcom.net.my
MMSC : http://mms.celcom.net.my
MMS proxy : 10.128.1.242
MMS port : 8080
MCC : 502
MNC : 18 (supposed to be 19, but I can't change this)
APN type : mms

I had tried all 4 APNs above, but still failed to connect. Anyone can help here? thanks

I just bought a starter pack few days ago, cost RM8, and preloaded RM5.
Interested in the RM28/30days unlimited 500MB package, as I do not use much data on phone. Just want to have some light program, reading news and etc. Bought this starter pack to try out the coverage before actually switching form hotlink into U-mobile unlimited internet.

I am from Penang by the way, staying in Farlim.
Area tested for U-mobile coverage:

Paya Terubong - Celcom (EDGE)
Farlim - Celcom (GPRS) - Sometimes Umobile3G appears, but only few minutes before it goes off again, and switch to Celcom. Mind that in the middle of switching, there's no call can be made (No service)
Air Itam (Kek Lok Si Temple foot hill) till Bukit Bendera till before Chung Ling - Celcom (GPRS/EDGE)
Staring Chung Ling High school to Masjid Negeri - Umobile3G (HSPDA)
Jalan Dato Keramat until KOMTAR- Umobile3G (HSPDA) but a little bit not stable.

Bukit Jambul Indah - Celcom (GPRS/EDGE)
Equatorial Hotel till PISA till airport (HSPDA)
Giant, Sunshine Square, till Bayan Lepas phase 1 (HSPDA)

Batu Lanchang to Greenlane to Penang bridge - Celcom (GPRS/EDGE)
After half of the Penang Bridge till Juru Toll till Bkt Tambun Toll - Umobile3G (HSPDA)
Just exit Bkt Tambun Toll - Celcom (not GPRS or EDGE sign)
Towards Batu Kawan (Yen Seafood restaurant) - Celcom (GPRS/EDGE)
When Approaching Yen Seafood restaurant - Umobile3G (HSPDA)

Strait Quey till pulau Tikus - Not stable, can be Umobile3G or Celcom, keep switching.

***********************************************************

In Celcom area (no Umobile3G), the Network available:
My MAXIS
umobile2G
CELCOM

I have problem sending out MMS when it is roam using CELCOM. No MMS is able to send out. Wondering if it is due to my prepaid starter package? If I subscribe to RM28 unlimited package, if this problem will be different?

Also, I try to register on Umobile2G, it just says that my SIM card does not allow to register on this... Don't know if this is also starter package issue, wonder if i subscribe to RM28 Unlimited internet, then I can use Umobile2G or not....

the Celcom GPRS/EDGE is good only for Watsapp, fetching whether info, very light data... no good for browsing simple page like checking mail, reading news... waiting like forever...

I am not sure what Umobile 2G is too. Is that Digi roaming ?

Maybe Umobile should ink their roaming agreement with Digi instead. Digi's Edge network is better I heard.

BTW, I thought Umobile signed agreement with Digi a while ago. What happened to that deal?

After the 28 days finished, I am getting connected to HSDPA or Edge whenever online. Does not seem expensive. If I set phone to 2G only, then no movement online.

@Hebe87: Nobody knew of a Prepaid SIM for data. Only a dongle for netbooks, not smartphones. Normal SIMS probably charge like our Maxis. sweat.gif

Yes. Sometime when i wanted to format my PC and update the AV or OS, i will subscribe to Digi unlimited internet RM3 per day.

I really hope that U mobile is gonna offer a better package for this like RM36 for 150 mins n 50 sms. Now considering getting a 2nd prepaid U mobile sim.

Tips for the 500MB Data Plan, i did some research finally i know how to control it without any problems. Lets say 500MB, each day you can use 16.6666MB which rounded off 16.7MB. 30Days should have no problem, i use about 7.5MB per day almost surf a lot of net, if constant using 7.5MB+- everyday, i'll only used up 225MB, try not to run flash or don't show picture, and remember some auto updates that one really kills your data plan very fast, try not to watch YOUTUBE as i tested running a video caused me up 10-14MB, which 500/14MB= 35 videos. Try using Watchdog 3G, it's a good programme for those android, additional use Dolphin HD browser is MUCH MUCH FASTER and MUCH MUCH BETTER than stock browser, it have javascript and picture setting, if you wanna save more you can turn them off in the settings. In terms of facebook, try use the browser mobile version, it might be better than you using the official app, sometimes it used up more data plan but have chat, for whatsapp it used up about 14-20kb to send a message, and 10-14kb to receive a message so should be using a lot sometimes.

Actually the current rate RM28 with 500MB, 100 mins and 30 sms is the cheapest already. Although it might not suits individual needs as some ppl prefer more sms, some prefer more talktime, while some just need a data plan.

Don't ask for more value from it, now the problem is I doubt whether this promo will continue for how long. One thing for sure is when the customer base increases, U Mobile would certainly revise this unlimited mobile internet package. Pls be informed that when number of users increases, their network capability will soon unable to cope and they might do something to control the usage (U mobile is providing data roaming on celcom as well, this adds more salt to the pain if celcom is charging U Mobile more for data roaming usage).

Just recalled back, when DiGi emerged as a new player in the telecomunication companys, it offers great deal. As time passes, with more and more customeres, one can see how DiGi changes, with the increase in subscription rate, implementation of freebies account, various revised rate to increase the call/sms rate, etc....

Also according to the T&C of U mobile unlimited mobile internet, "This plan is available until withdrawn by us" http://u.com.my/prepaid-packages/unlimited...le-internet#tnc

Now what I hope is, U Mobile pls maintain this rm28 package..

oh, i thought it cost RM28/month?

How do I activate Unlimited Mobile Internet Plan?

STEP 1 - Dial *118#
STEP 2 - Select 3 for ‘Mobile Services’
STEP 3 - Select 1 for ‘Unlimited Mobile Internet’
STEP 4 - Select 1 to ‘Subscribe / Langgan’

Please ensure a balance of RM28 in your prepaid account for successful activation.

beside, it is internet at Celcom GPRS/EDGE speed, which i read alot people has been complaining is not working or viable

correction

internet at celcom's Edge/Gprs is when there is no Umobile 3G coverage, if u are in the heart of KL of if u are in a UM3G area , u can surf at top speed up to 42Mbps, but your fon can maximum support 10Mbps currently on some models

and the best thing is that, if you topup rm300 now u can call any umobile lines (inclusive of MNP lines) for 300days free , 60mins a day

and thats more, if u topup rm50 ( via coupon ) u get rm10 free KFC meal voucher too

yes, the point is i'm talking about investor (forumer upstairs here) who buy the sim pack and found there is no Um 3G signal at his house

so he need to go out to kfc to get decent internet signal, and i suppose there is free wifi there anyway

btw, i'm vegetarian smile.gif

i went KL last week ard Bukit Bintang area but i cant manage to switch from celcom to u3g...can anyone provide me wit the way of switching it? im a umobile user but i cant seem to get the way to switch it...

if you want to test it, there's two ways

1 set Network Selection to Manual instead of Auto, do a network search and select Umobile 3G if it is on the list

2 other way, set Network Mode to 3G/UMTS only, then see if your phone got any signal

however, do not leave your phone set like this settings, it is just an easy way to check for 3G signal

its like that, esp with Celcom, u know why? icon_idea.gif i dun wan to comment, u should knoe rite tongue.gif

anyway, if there is still celcom signal in your previous sim, try to call 1111 to ask abt your MNP status

btw, did u put in the UM sim in your fon before this? better not as the porting will even take longer if u let the sim to search for the new network while it is still in the process of MNP

I have no idea how to check the balance of free SMS I got from M2U and 7-11 top-up. But my credit isn't being deducted when I SMS so at least it's real.

Anyway, anyone else got an SMS from U Mobile today? I was told that once I renew my Unlimited Internet RM28 on 8/8, I will get 90 free SMS. This is as opposed to the usual 30 free SMS.

I got so many free SMS now... dunno what to use it for lol.

Found out inside the house no line. Sometime try to roam celcom. Duh. Once I go outside the UM 3G is back. I think UM signal still weak once have tall building as it block the signal. Inside lift even worst, no line at all.
I tried out at the heart of KL especially Berjaya Times Square, yes the signal and speed of surfing is really fantastic. Even get HSPD. Well I'm happy of it since it only cost RM 28.00 per month with some more free call smile.gif.

free call is per day (umobile - umobile), not per hour:

You will enjoy 1 day of free local U Mobile to U Mobile voice calls for every top-up of RM1. For example, when you recharge RM5 you will get free calls for 5 days from the date of your recharge. If you recharge another RM10 on the same day or on another day, you will get free calls for another 10 days from the expiry date of the last free calls given. However, the maximum free calls will not exceed 150 days. “U Mobile to U Mobile voice calls” means voice calls made from a U Mobile customer to another U Mobile customer.

If you have any free voice calls from another U Mobile promotion, they will be deemed to be used first followed by the free calls given under this Promotion.

You forgot #3 in their TnC's...

3. Without limiting our rights in the Terms of Use in our Registration Form, our Fair Use Policy and the service description, if your free calls exceed 60 minutes per day, we may charge you our standard call rates or we may suspend or cancel your service. Our aim is to manage usage in order to provide quality mobile services to all our subscribers so that no subscribers are disadvantaged by the behavior of others.

what about the one for the Rm28/month Unlimited Mobile Internet one? The promo says 'anyone anywhere in Malaysia'. In the TnC I don't read anything specific about UM-UM only. Are the free calls minutes /SMS valid for inter-telco calls/SMS?

EDIT: sry pulled the trigger too fast. Apparently it applies to other telcos as well, as written on the FAQs page. Only for the UMI plan though.
