I just bought a starter pack few days ago, cost RM8, and preloaded RM5.
Interested in the RM28/30days unlimited 500MB package, as I do not use much data on phone. Just want to have some light program, reading news and etc. Bought this starter pack to try out the coverage before actually switching form hotlink into U-mobile unlimited internet.

I am from Penang by the way, staying in Farlim.
Area tested for U-mobile coverage:

Paya Terubong - Celcom (EDGE)
Farlim - Celcom (GPRS) - Sometimes Umobile3G appears, but only few minutes before it goes off again, and switch to Celcom. Mind that in the middle of switching, there's no call can be made (No service)
Air Itam (Kek Lok Si Temple foot hill) till Bukit Bendera till before Chung Ling - Celcom (GPRS/EDGE)
Staring Chung Ling High school to Masjid Negeri - Umobile3G (HSPDA)
Jalan Dato Keramat until KOMTAR- Umobile3G (HSPDA) but a little bit not stable.


Bukit Jambul Indah - Celcom (GPRS/EDGE)
Equatorial Hotel till PISA till airport (HSPDA)
Giant, Sunshine Square, till Bayan Lepas phase 1 (HSPDA)

Batu Lanchang to Greenlane to Penang bridge - Celcom (GPRS/EDGE)
After half of the Penang Bridge till Juru Toll till Bkt Tambun Toll - Umobile3G (HSPDA)
Just exit Bkt Tambun Toll - Celcom (not GPRS or EDGE sign)
Towards Batu Kawan (Yen Seafood restaurant) - Celcom (GPRS/EDGE)
When Approaching Yen Seafood restaurant - Umobile3G (HSPDA)

Strait Quey till pulau Tikus - Not stable, can be Umobile3G or Celcom, keep switching.

I have problem sending out MMS when it is roam using CELCOM. No MMS is able to send out. Wondering if it is due to my prepaid starter package? If I subscribe to RM28 unlimited package, if this problem will be different?

Also, I try to register on Umobile2G, it just says that my SIM card does not allow to register on this... Don't know if this is also starter package issue, wonder if i subscribe to RM28 Unlimited internet, then I can use Umobile2G or not....

the Celcom GPRS/EDGE is good only for Watsapp, fetching whether info, very light data... no good for browsing simple page like checking mail, reading news... waiting like forever...
