i've been using Digi Prepaid U15 weekly previously & now switched to UM..

*tests done using SpeedTest app for Android on my Samsung galaxy S
*only 2 tests on Digi since max is only 384kbps

I sold my digi one to someone last year for rm50bucks! Go garage sales there and find:)
Mine was the 3.6mbps one... Higher end models cost more!
Look around... U might find some cheap 2nd hand ones around

It would cost about rm100-200 or 250 liddat depending on model and speed of modem.
I would recommend huawei e17x. Those are cheap.

but be safe... if youre gonna use broadband... use broadband package as the RM28 package has a quota!

Quota means the package or size of data they give u.
If u use more than that... They will either reduce your connection speed or charge u extra. For the case of umobile, they reduce speed. No extra charges

Yep, some phones will show 3G and some will show H. My nexus s shows 3g while my sister's optimus black shows H.

Eg. Sunway Pyramid. Go certain area kena E. Another part of the mall got 3G. 
Wait for the line to keep tukar also headache already.
