Bonus Discounts mentioned in *118# menus

Must read the availabilty notes and show to the staff at vendor. Many times both U-Mobile counter staff and vendor staff don't know.

E.g. Kenny Rogers: UM staff said only at KR HQ 1Utama. *118# says any outlet, in 2011. KR staff dunno until insist manager call in to check. Then agreed. Good luck.

Are you referring to my previous reply or you just share a new piece of information?

If its former, I would like to clarify that the one that I mentioned was the reload bonus, where it is 15% for reload of RM30 and above. This will be credited to your account 2 hours after reload. Reload bonus promotion is gone, as of now. On the other hand, the bonus discount that you mentioned its the merchant discount for U mobile customers at their outlet. By showing that we are using UM, we are entitled to some discount, subjected to terms and conditions.

If its latter, I'm sry that I misunderstood u

6% of service tax on prepaid reload will start implement on this 15 september

eg: rm10 prepaid credit costs rm10.60

but im thinking why they want consumers to pay additional
instead of automatically deduct in our amount of reload

I think direct deduction from the balance is much convenient than to pay more.

Your math is wrong.

If the want to deduct from RM10 reload, you will end up with floating point figure. Which is not really nice to see.

to be exact it's RM9.433396226415 or RM9.45 (BNM's jimat dan senang kira?)... why it's not nice to see RM9.45? i think it's a matter of convenience rather than nice to see figure? well.. to each his own... icon_rolleyes.gif

Sorry, I was talking about *118# [6] [4] Bonus [1] Food & Bev

PS: Last time only inquired at K Rogers. Just now went to eat something. Another set of staff didn't know anything. Had to repeat -- show phone menu, waiter called manager to confirm with HQ, record UM number, etc.

maxis klcc centre got those reverse-ATM for topping up, but the machine don't take sylings so I don't see how they could charge the tax other than by deduction from the amount that gets credited
