I thought changing from maxis to umobile would had solve the problems at my area, puchong.. But same thing over and over again.. Talking half way then suddenly call cuts off... WTF, should had remain back to maxis or change to celcom.. I thought lesser users network would be better.. But NO!!!

maxis having some problems lately with alot of drop calls from my friends lately... me staying in puteri area..... if those ppl using maxis having drop calls are from phone problem, then they are plenty of ppl needed to change their new iphone4... maybe it's the apple strategy to change phone every year according to their iphone 2g-3g-3gs-4g... then now need to change to iphone5... no idea... maybe give this u-mobile line a few tries since festive season not much ppl in town... should be better... if not time to forget bout U-mobile...

I believe it is due to the automatic changing from 2g to 3g network in your area which results in this problem. To solve this, simply force your phone to use 2G network only by selecting "GPRS/EDGE" instead of using "automatic" setting, (I assume that 2G signal is stronger than 3G signal in puchong area.)

seems to be solved? as i know... usually its the phone that changes from 2g to 3g thinking that the connection is stronger... when the phone does that and the call is in progressing
the line will lagg or be dropped...
umobile to umbile is free calls now... once drop... call again mah hahaha

celcom 2g signal is strong... almost everywhere... and seeing umobile oso sharing celcom's signal... if on 2g, no worries... you can get it everywhere and your problem would sure be during the switch between 2g to 3g... here's how de line got dropped...

Its no brainier to accept the fact that modem cost RM 1,000. I feel this is false alarm.

tat was when UM was first launched a few years back and the Umobile bundle modem, the ZTE MF622 cost rm500~rm1000 biggrin.gif

and now the HSPA ZTE MF190 only cost rm90 biggrin.gif and its much faster too

I do heard some people are being "threaten" to go to the court over this matter.

Anyway, i prefer to avoid post paid as i really do not like the telco to simply bill and we have to pay later. If use prepaid, we can always know if there is something wrong about the bill if the credit is not enough or drain too fast.

Have. Maxis, Digi, U mobile and celcom have their own prepaid data plan.

I'm using um unlimited internet on my csl mi300 2.2 and everything is working flawlessly.. do remember to put wcdma only if u want to use 3g and gsm only if u want to use edge.. n one more tips, try surfing using opera mini browser.. just my 2 cents.. : )
