I begin to love this Thread, as the User here is very friendly and giving many constructive answers. Make me more ooommmm to reply tongue.gif
Yanhui95, can i double confirm what phone you are currently using? Coz previously, i was been Using Nokia N900 and using joikuspot to share internet connection.

I find the application itself a bit buggy. Sometimes i can share out n sometimes cant. Not sure is because of the apps itself or the phone?? hmm.gif

But after switching to HTC IS, using the same plan, same sim card i able to share internet using WiFi Hotspot and it is very stable so far.
Not sure about other model But HTC actually has 3G:

Up to 14.4 Mbps download speed
Up to 5.76 Mbps upload speed

But i'm not sure how true it is, as i seldom test connection speed, as Hotlink Data Plan coverage and speed is very satisfying.

Can refer to link below for the download speed of HTC using 3G

For Reaching 14.4mbps, i think should be more towards advertisement tongue.gif tongue.gif Read through this thread got 2mbps consider very good d. cant complaint so much d.

if unlimited mobile internet can use for tethering
that would be fine because no extra charge

im new BB user, but IMO i dont think BB user able to tether
FOC since BIS doesnt include free data(for the promotional period now, yes)
unless you subscribe to unlimited internet too

but anyway, 5sen/1mb still worthy

Just save *118*3*1*2# as 'Balance' as contact. Dail the contact and u get the balance. easy peasy.

Added on September 13, 2011, 8:50 pmI have a great idea for umobile, or umobile android developers for that matter:

since umobile is promoting free umobile to umobile calls, why not develop a dating/friendship group among umobile users for a matching/meetup apps where users can match or create groups to join by locations (integrated with google map) to promote friendship? i have umobile but all my friends are not using 018, what a pity.

Can also on your home screen, add Shortcut to Contact, even faster. If your App has more buttons to get deeper and bypass the clumsy *118# menus then I'd use it.

many hps you can set the voicemail number to an USSD code

then you just "press" and "hold" the "1" button on your phone to check your status, etc

can tether.. I using my phone as modem tethering to my laptop. It works well. Just note that 500mb quota may be completely used up within few hours smile.gif

Added on September 14, 2011, 12:58 amMbps = mega bits per second
MBps = mega bytes per second

8 bits = 1 byte

For data transfer they normally go for bit.
For storage they normally go for byte.
