during commercial the volume is damn loud, and during show/movies the sound is damn soft... i needa turn up the volume during movies time and once it reach to commercial break the sound is double or even triple louder than the movies, it's like WTF!!! image a baby is having a nice sleep and suddenly get scare off by the damn commercial!! it's damn irritating..

any solution for this?

called up unifi and guess what they told?? "Do u know that there's a button for Vol + and - ?? use - when reaching commercial..

those fans had been attached to my 3COM 3-IN-1 WIFI router, so just took them off and blow at the damn modem.. see so many complain about the heat issue for this modem. But so far i just on the fan from 7pm to midnight..

i don't feel much heat even the fans is not on, but just for self-comfort i will still blow the modem once in a while..

Hi Ckboon,

there is a way.. if your TV supports "Auto Volume Leveler", then just enable it..

I do agree on the commercial ads where it is new ads where volume is clearer and louder, but some movies especially old ones, it is very soft.

hope it helps.

Or get something to normalize the volume. But that will be extra piece of equipment. haha

this thing doesn't happen when viewing TV channel directly without IPTV

it is the volume from the IPTV.

Ok..let's say:
1. Your TV is set at volume 25.
2. the IPTV act like a DVD player.
3. the IPTV play 1 old DVD which movie's volume is soft. So can't hear... You pump up the TV volume to 35.
4. now you change DVD disc..another movie, which we imagine this is a new commercial ads, clear...now your TV's speaker is pumping... you have to soften it to 25.

Dulu astro also having this... like Wah Lai Toi, the movie so soft, then the WLT logo before and after commercial ads..so dxxmn loud. Now okay already.

This issue..either TM gonna solve it... or your TV has the normaliser.. then quick fix... else, I dono what device can be use between the IPTV and TV.

for astro WLT is understandable, but IPTV just stream/copy everything from TV1,2,3,7,8,9, and it's not channeled/broadcast by them... so if the original doesn't give problem, why comes to IPTV it become a problem? I can only imaging old DVD = TV1 and new DVD = TV2 so switching between this 2 channel might change the volume level is still acceptable, or maybe there's some TM channel then the old/new DVD concept can be applied during commercial switch over, but those free msia channel i can't accept that kinda thought...

But the normalization should be on their end in the first place.

come on TM, invest your gear... don't sell a piece of half build system to your customer !!!

we can provide them the password, or they will create a password to us.

i'll given them my selected password during online registration, hence they set it to what i requested

the DIR-615 wifi router password masking is 10 * only. The password is actually not, so dont trust the masking there. Useless 1, make me confuse.

Hi guys

Anyone of you using bolehVPN?

What speed are you all getting from UK servers?

I am only getting about 1.2mbps currently. I am using this bolehVPN only for recorded TV streaming only mainly. I am using VIP 5 btw

Few days ago on 20May @ 00:38 hour my VIP5 got disconnected & re-connected again:
Attached Image

Since then, no matter how/what I did for the past few days, even re-booted everything several times, I can no longer get the 110x IP, only 175x .... sad.gif

These 175x IP really unstable, torrenting speed surge up & down like this:

Also xbox360 online gaming rather unsmooth, latency seem to be high, same group of online friends, especially with HK friends.
Even turn-off all computers/devices, just the xbox alone also not that smooth compare to the 110x IP ...... sad.gif

But web browsing, ftp & even SpeedTest all seem to be ok, really don't know what's going on mad.gif

So far this month up to now I think my total download/upload is about 665GB, hope it's not TM started some kind of bandwidth throttling .... flex.gif

Hi all!
I'm using the white alcatel BTU. D-Link firmware is 7.09.

Bought a TP-Link TL-WR841ND ver7.2 hopefully to replace the stupid D-Link router.

followed instruction provided by klseet and athena...

i can safely say TP-Link WR841ND ver 7.2 IS NOT COMPATIBLE TO THE WHITE ALCATEL BTU...

right now, i still use the D-Link to connect to BTU and TP-Link to emit the wireless signal...pretty sucked...

anyway, thanks KLseet and Athena for helping me...

That's how fast my unifi is right now. facebook takes ages to load.
And the test server basically located less than 10km right at my neighbourhood. mad.gif

Added on May 25, 2011, 11:00 pmcalled TM and i pressed to listen to the health message and there's bla bla bla about IPTV interruption in subang, bangsar, TTDi and few other areas from 12am to 6am daily. That might be the reason for what you guys complained about IPTV services.
