Hi guys, I have applied for Unifi on their online website and appointed the date at 31st May 2011, do I need to call to confirm if they are coming are they are calling?

And btw I have 1 month free subscription fee right?
So first month have to pay how much?
Thank you.

wow.. so good, you applied online and got appointment on 31st may. Bila u apply?

based on the info online, you shld have 1 month free.

If not wrong, the first month, u shld get a bill where no need to pay anything. unless u have anything extra during installation.

Apply on April la bro, have waited for a month already~
But I heard some of the forumer say that apply online may seem more expensive even though it has 1 month free than the dealers outside, true?
Dealer won't charge installation fee, bla bla but TM do cos they provide 1 month free subscription already?

Yeah, but I remember a forum-er complaint about this matter so need other users to clarify about this matter.
So does that mean don't have to pay anything on the installation date except for the extra wires that they provide?
What if they cheat on the length of the wire, for e.g., stock wire is enough but they wanna earn so they tell me that I need more wire?

I pernah read the TM unifi site. There are wires included, 15m ni, 15m that...as standard package.
"Each UniFi package subscription come with Standard Installation which comprises (up to) 15m Internal Fibre, 15m LAN / Phone Cable, 30m Raceway and man power."

unifi installation

any extra cables needed, will be charged in the first bill.

Now, as i also not yet installed unifi, we shld received a work order, sumthing like that on job done. stated apa job and material dah bagi. if anything extra, it shld be stated clearly in the job sheet.

Any bros can clarify my statement?

Hi guys,

This is my maiden post. I just got my VIP20 installed last Saturday and I'm currently doing some research on using custom routerts using bro rizvanrp's page, bro klseet and thepcharbor.com. You guys have done excellent job and keep up the great effort.

I'm just wondering whether its worth the try :-

UNIFI modem - DIR615 - linksys WRT150N (AP1) & TPLink TL-901ND (AP2)

If the senior out there be kind enough to help me, i would really appreciate it.

the modem only acted as a bridge, it doesn't do much thing. No point changing it. I don't think TM is interested to look into the modem but to the router.

guys, i upgraded my service from Streamyx 1mb to VIP 5..on the Unifi registration form, i tick the option to terminate my current streamyx and land line..some how, until today my streamyx and land line bills still come in..now i got my streamyx and land line bills overdue for 2 months!
WTH Unifi never terminate my previous service..anybody ever facing the same issue?
*
Same problem with me last August when I changed.

It took me until March this year for them to acknowledge the problem and to refund the Streamyx. BUT, all they have done is to give me a RM500 credit on my Streamyx account, then close the account with the credit now floating around somewhere and me unable to get it. I asked them to credit it to my UniFi account but they ignored my now since March. I just emailed aduan@cfm.org.my and will see if they are of any use.

I did last time. All they do is tell TM to do something and TM took their own sweet time. Waste of time - I asked them to fine TM or at least sanction them somehow - they might as well just be another TM department for all the customer service they provide - just a standard form letter saying they have forwarded my complaint to TM! :-)

I do agree on the commercial ads where it is new ads where volume is clearer and louder, but some movies especially old ones, it is very soft.
hope it helps.
*
In most countries it is illegal to have the commercials louder than the shows. I guess we will have to wait until 2020. -(

during my installation i did the UNIFI contractor what to do with my streamyx line and told me to called 100.

so i called 100 and they called me to call UNIFI number 1300881221, and told that UNIFI had been installed. According to UNIFI CC, the usage of streamyx will end on the day UNIFI had been installed but i still can use streamyx service till it's terminated with extra charge. It will take around 2 weeks for the line to get terminated. 3 days later i received a called from UNIFI ask me how's the line perform. no the next 2 days UNIFI called me and i asked them when will my line will be terminated, and again he said around 2 weeks. Till now i haven't check my phone and no 1 call me up regarding the line being terminated, but i just don't give a damn to it since i never it and if i get a bunch of rubbish payment from them i will sure get them screw up since the do so many call to me confirm this and that.

I made the mistake of accidentally paying my Streamyx bill for 3 months every time it came, even though (as I live in a condo and it uses the phone lines from basement to my floor) the Streamyx was physically cut off & couldn't possibly be used, nor could my old phone number. Getting them to admit I should be refunded took 6 months. Now all I need is for them to pay up.

Just received a letter from TM.

Excerpts:
QUOTE
We are currently undergoing a system upgrade to ensure all UniFi customers who have purchased the Premium Channels and/or VOD contents to be billed accordingly.

Therefore, any Premium Channels and/or VOD contents purchased from 1 NOV 2010 until your most recent HyppTV purchase will be calculated and added to your bill. Starting May 2011, the charges will be reflected as a lump sump figure.

However, VIP20 subscribers shall continue to enjoy 8 Premium Channels, added to their Free Channels, at no extra cost until their UniFi contract expires.

Does this mean all this while TM haven't billed for any premium channels purchase?
I haven't bought any other channels so I wouldn't know.

Yeah, so I have to pay RM149 only for first month?
1 month upfront is deposit?
It means the 24th month if contract end, last month don't need to pay?
