Hi everybody notworthy.gif , i really noob in WC, anyone know how to join the tubing properly, does it need any glue or special things? I brought a WC kit from ngbh bulk, planning to change the pump but lacking knowledge about taking out the tube and reapply properly to prevent leakage, is it just enough using cable tie to tied up the tube? plus, anyone know how to flush and refill the thing without reservoiur??? unsure.gif
*
errr... 1st of all most of us are not familiar with that wc kit. So dunno if it would be much of a help here. But usually in most common casses, we use tubing clamps to tighten the tubes with the barbs... or use cable tie oni.

Flushing and refilling is an ancient art of watercooling passed down only from one generation to another via..... arrrrrghhh cut the crap. biggrin.gif sorry bout that biggrin.gif , here we use the term bleeding, how to do it? just pull one of the tubes that's connected to the barbs, oh don't ferget the pail if you don't wanna wet the floor.... if not using a resevoir, try a T joint to refill.

QUOTE(woopypooky @ Feb 3 2006, 11:25 PM)
I also got the syscooling package 3 fom ngbh. I didnt try to change the pump or water and so on. But i got one heck of trouble trying to install the heatsink to the chip. Apparently this cooling system is for Socket A and Pentium only. There no clip for S939. And the mount for the graphic chipset was too small for my graphic card and i got to make a mount of my own using aluminium tin.

-sigh- .. I've heard bout this kit in the bulk section, it'd grown quite popular amongst the community, I was hoping to see some genuine result, heard it was promising.. could any of you user post some screenies or pics? share-share ler.

for cooling, it was promising. Before that my graphic card was 51C idle and 66C load, after installed it 42C idle and 48C load.
The only trouble is that the included mount is not suitable for S939 and bigger graphic card.
BTW how to capture screenies?

wah that good ah?.. Sorry to hear bout the proc mounting, i'm keen to know about the proc cooling rather than gfx.

2. To capture screenies:-> press CTRL + PRTSCRN buttons on keyboard simultaneously open New Paint doc/image, then paste. Then crop or adjust. Then save as JPG or GIF or whatever you fancy. Then post... liao. How to post img? Read here ->LINK

not yet, anyway i dunno how to overclock my processor so i guess stock cooling will be enough. u wan buy tis product u better make sure u find the mount is suitable first for ur cpu. The heatsink for motherboard, gpu and cpu i think is okay for all types. The mobo mount also okay. Only the gpu and cpu mount doesnt fit S939 & geforce6800 series and above i think.

i'm also using the wc kit from ngbh bulk package 3 that includes cpu, chipset & gpu. here are my temps:

on a cold day:
idle:36
load:48

on a hot day:
idle:38
load:50

My system:
P4 2.4A @ 3.2GHz (1.42V)
MSI PT880
2x256mb Corsair VS 2-3-3-6
Gecube 9550GT 600/290 (voltmoded)

but to achive this temperature, i've mod the wc kit like so:

1. remove the chipset block from the loop
2. change the tubings with the one i bought from hardware store and was cut as short as possible.
3. change the Yate Loon fan to 83cfm NMB fan with a shroud made from a dead fan.

sorry but no screenies because i flush the loop yesterday when i noticed some weird noise from the pump. when everything is settled and ready to be put back together, i realised that my AS5 is out doh.gif . now using those white thermal paste and have a 3C increase in temp in idle and load shakehead.gif . but to not dissapoint everyone here's my setup while i was leak testing yesterday.

edit: i'm going to lap my proc this weekend. i'll post the result when i'm done. hopefully the temp will drop even more. smile.gif

Thanks for the info... and pic. Well, i wuz kinda wondering if its possible to snap a few close up pics of the radiator/heatxchanger.. seemed like its the main reason for the low temps, cause the pump~ nothing to brag about, waterblock ~ so and so oni. And as for the tubing, is it 1/2" ID? Oh btw, shah thanks alot for this thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

I'm also use WC kit bought from ngbh bulk and yes, it's not suitable for socket939 on some mobo. Already spoilt my DFI infinity becoz of steel plat that put at the back of mobo.Sent for warranty claim yesterday tongue.gif
So, I bought another DFI infinity board and use the backplate that comes with mobo and now everything works fine.

my idle temp for venice 3000+ E3 is 36C and 30C at night or cold day.
Will post pic asap.

hahaha....yeah, the blocks and pump are so and so oni. for the rad pic, see Prokutiwuti post up there. the tubings is 1/4" ID btw. i've been saving money to buy a good wc kit but only manage to save enough to buy a maze 4 cpu block. but for the same amount of money i can buy this full set wc kit. laugh.gif

the performance of the wc kit is equal (or better in cold day) with my previous XP90+a high cfm fan. but with the wc kit, the is no more jet engine sound under my desk biggrin.gif and plus it cools my gpu too. thumbup.gif

edit: found this pic in my pc. this is the rad with the Yate Loon fan that it came with. hope this helps. smile.gif

hi, sorry if i go off topic awhile. i see on ur spec there u got 2 identical rams? can it run on dual channel? cos i see on ur picture , u put those two at the same DIMM colour. Mine also put on both same DIMM colour and why it doesnt run on dual channel ?. If wan to run on dual channel need put on different colour or same DIMMs colour? or every board isnt the same?

everyboard not the same.
My Abit also runs dual channel on the same colour slots.
Just read up your motherboard's manual, some motherboard need Slot1,3 / 2,4 to run dual channel

guys.. thanx for the pics.. yup as suspected, its a two pass double rows flat tube rad.. same as BIX, and good move you've made when changing into a higher cfm fan Shah.

Impressive... apart from the 1/4" OD barb on the rad... mebbe can fix a 1/2" OD barb when later ugrading the waterblock.. no worries..

hmm i have to agree with amok... the radiator looks pretty decent although the pump and waterblock issint anything to brag about.

in the future if u wanna upgrade it u could even use back the same radiator, mod the barbs for 1/2" tubings all round and use a better pump and waterblock.
